Stimulation of Gastric Motility by Acid

open access: yesGastroenterology, 1967
Summary Motility of separated (Heidenhain) pouches of the oxyntic gland area of 3 dogs' stomachs was measured when the pouches were filled with 250 mm glycine solution ( p H, 6 to 7), 100 mm HCl, 100 mm acetic acid, 20 mm acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) in 100 mm HCl, or 20 mm acetylsalicylic acid in 1 mm HCl.

Ks1, an epithelial cell-specific gene, responds to early signals of head formation in Hydra [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
As a molecular marker for head specification in Hydra, we have cloned an epithelial cell-specific gene which responds to early signals of head formation.

LincNEAT1 Encoded‐NEAT1‐31 Promotes Phagocytosis by Directly Activating the Aurora‐A–PI3K–AKT Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
LincNEAT1 Encoded‐NEAT1‐31 micropeptide directly binds with Aurora‐A and enhanced AKT pathways to pormotes phagocytosis against multi cancer cells. Abstract Macrophages play vital roles in innate and adaptive immunity, and their essential functions are mediated by phagocytosis and antigen presentation.

Gastrointestinal endogenous proteins as a source of bioactive peptides : Doctor of Philosophy in Nutritional Sciences at Riddet Institute, Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Gastrointestinal endogenous proteins (GEP) were investigated as a source of bioactive peptides. In silico and in vitro methods were used singly or in combination to study GEP-derived peptides after simulated digestion.

Meisoindigo Acts as a Molecular Glue to Target PKMYT1 for Degradation in Chronic Myeloid Leukemia Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Meisoindigo targets PKMYT1 for degradation by acting as a molecular glue that enhances PKMYT1‐TRIM25 interaction, leading to K48‐linked ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation, thereby exerting therapeutic effects in chronic myeloid leukemia.

Helicobacter pylori: types of diseases, diagnosis, treatment and causes of therapeutic failure [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Acute upper gastrointestinal lesions have a multifactorial etiology but, regardless of the cause, they are related to mucosal barrier destruction. Since Helicobacter pylori induces a superficial chronic gastritis with the infiltration of neutrophils in ...

KLF1 Promotes Cardiomyocyte Proliferation and Heart Regeneration Through Regulation of Wnt/β‐Catenin Signaling Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In KLF1‐on (neonatal and Klf1 overexpression hearts) models, KLF1 regulates Wnt/β‐catenin signaling pathway and the expression of cell proliferation‐related genes via transcriptional and epigenetic mechanisms, which induces cardiomyocyte proliferation and cardiac regeneration in mice after myocardial infarction.
