Influence of experimental hypokinesia on gastric secretory function [PDF]

open access: yes
The gastric secretory function of rats was studied in 4, 8, 16 and 30 day hypokinesia. Inhibition of both the gastric juice secretory and acid producing functions was found. The greatest inhibition was observed on day 8 of limited mobility.

Comparison of simulated gastrointestinal digestion platforms with varying complexity and sample mass requirements, using common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) as a model

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, EarlyView.
Abstract BACKGROUND Measuring bioaccessible nutrient levels during digestion in a physiologically relevant (dynamic) manner is a bottleneck in plant breeding and food product development. The first aim of this study was to develop and compare four simulated gastric digestion models paired with a static small‐intestinal phase for use with small sample ...

Peculiarities of influence of single intragastric administration of H2-histamine receptor blockers of the second (nisatidine) and third (famotidine) generation on acid-peptic and mucoid-electrolyte secretion of the stomach in patients with duodenal ulcer

open access: yesЛьвівський клінічний вісник, 2019
Introduction. Antisecretory drugs are commonly used in the complex treatment of most diseases of the upper gastrointestinal tract. Today, proton pomp inhibitors (PPI) have a priority in the basic treatment for acid-dependent diseases of the ...

Bioaccessibility of anthocyanins and bioactive compounds from Brazilian berries and their food matrix interaction: an in vitro gastrointestinal digestion study coupled to UHPLC‐ESI‐TQD‐MS/MS analysis

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, EarlyView.
Abstract BACKGROUND Several commercial berries have been examined for anthocyanin composition, bioaccessibility, and bioactive effects, while Brazilian berries remain underexplored. This study aimed to access the effect of in vitro gastrointestinal digestion on anthocyanin bioaccessibility, stability, and antioxidant potential in black pitanga (Eugenia
