Targeting the YAP-BST2 Axis Overcomes Intrinsic Anti-PD-1 Resistance in Metastatic Gastric Cancer. [PDF]

open access: yesAdv Sci (Weinh)
Concurrent YAP hyperactivation and Tp53 loss in Atp4b‐expressed parietal cell lineage drives gastric cancer initiation, multi‐organ metastasis, and intrinsic resistance to anti‐PD‐1 therapy. BST2 emerges as a direct YAP‐TEAD transcriptional target that engages PIRA2 on myeloid cells to establish an immunosuppressive microenvironment.

Early-Life Nutritional Disruption Reshapes Gastric Epithelial Development Through Coordinated Changes in the Dynamics and Signaling of Proliferative Niches. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Cell Physiol
ABSTRACT Gastric gland cells originate from two proliferative niches: the main rapid one in the isthmus, and the slow secondary one in the base. However, while nutrition is dependent on breastfeeding, the proliferative niches are not established, and proliferation occurs along the gland. Currently, we investigated the influence of early weaning (EW) on

The prevalence and significance of circulating antibodies to gastric intrinsic factor and parietal cells in gastric carcinoma [PDF]

open access: yesGut, 1971
The prevalence of circulating antibodies to gastric intrinsic factor and parietal cells was examined in 60 patients with histologically proven gastric carcinoma and was found not to differ from the prevalence of these antibodies in control subjects of similar age and sex distribution.

Helicobacter pylori cag-Pathogenicity island-dependent early immunological response triggers later precancerous gastric changes in Mongolian gerbils [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Infection with Helicobacter pylori, carrying a functional cag type IV secretion system (cag-T4SS) to inject the Cytotoxin associated antigen (CagA) into gastric cells, is associated with an increased risk for severe gastric diseases in humans.
