Targeting the YAP-BST2 Axis Overcomes Intrinsic Anti-PD-1 Resistance in Metastatic Gastric Cancer. [PDF]

open access: yesAdv Sci (Weinh)
Concurrent YAP hyperactivation and Tp53 loss in Atp4b‐expressed parietal cell lineage drives gastric cancer initiation, multi‐organ metastasis, and intrinsic resistance to anti‐PD‐1 therapy. BST2 emerges as a direct YAP‐TEAD transcriptional target that engages PIRA2 on myeloid cells to establish an immunosuppressive microenvironment.

Effects of Helicobacter pylori Infection on Gastric Parietal Cells and E-cadherin in Mongolian Gerbils

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacological Sciences, 2013
.: Atrophic gastritis caused by infection with Helicobacter pylori is characterized by parietal cell loss, which is a main risk factor for gastric cancer.

Autoimmune gastritis diverges from a shared corpus origin: molecular reconstruction of the adenocarcinoma axis and clinical anchoring of the neuroendocrine axis [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
Autoimmune gastritis (AIG) arises from a T-cell–mediated immune attack on the gastric parietal cell and carries a dual neoplastic risk: gastric adenocarcinoma through spasmolytic polypeptide-expressing metaplasia (SPEM) and intestinal metaplasia, and ...

History and Pharmacological Mechanism of Gastric Acid-suppressive Drugs [PDF]

open access: yesThe Korean Journal of Helicobacter and Upper Gastrointestinal Research, 2023
Gastric acid-related disorders are commonly encountered in clinical practice. Acetylcholine, gastrin, and histamine are physiological agonists that stimulate acid secretion from parietal cells.

Comparative Study of the Gastric Mucosa of Risso’s Dolphin (Grampus griseus) and Bottlenose Dolphin (Tursiops truncatus): A Key to Manage the Diet in Captive Conditions

open access: yesVeterinary Sciences, 2022
To histologically evaluate the gastric compartments of Risso’s (Grampus griseus) and bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) and provide suggestions for the diet of Risso’s dolphins in captivity, we examined 12 stomachs from both species.

Vonoprazan-Associated Gastric Mucosal Redness in Non-Helicobacter pylori-Infected and Helicobacter pylori-Eradicated Stomach

open access: yesCase Reports in Gastroenterology, 2021
Vonoprazan-associated gastric mucosal redness is rare, and its endoscopic and pathological features remain poorly described. We report 4 cases of vonoprazan-associated gastric mucosal redness, that is, 2 cases each in non-Helicobacter pylori-infected and

Regression of Autoimmune Gastritis after Eradication of Helicobacter pylori

open access: yesCase Reports in Gastroenterology, 2023
We report a case of autoimmune gastritis (AIG) in which gastric mucosal atrophy improved with Helicobacter pylori eradication. Based on endoscopic findings (advanced gastric atrophy with vascular visibility and diffuse redness in remnant oxyntic mucosa),

Genetic Ablation of the ClC-2 Cl- Channel Disrupts Mouse Gastric Parietal Cell Acid Secretion. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2015
The present studies were designed to examine the effects of ClC-2 ablation on cellular morphology, parietal cell abundance, H/K ATPase expression, parietal cell ultrastructure and acid secretion using WT and ClC-2-/- mouse stomachs.

Metastatic gastric adenocarcinoma associated with hypertrophic gastropathy resembling Ménétrier’s disease in an adult Labrador Retriever dog

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Veterinary Pathology, 2021
We describe a case of hypertrophic gastropathy (Ménétrier’s like disease) with metastatic gastric adenocarcinoma in a seven-year-old intact female Labrador Retriever dog. The animal suddenly presented with emesis and died. Gross lesions included a marked
