S100A8/A9‐High Macrophages Activate Intestinal Fibroblasts via mCCL6/hCCL15‐CCR1 Axis to Drive Intestinal Fibrosis in Crohn's Disease
Advanced Science, EarlyView.S100A8/A9‐high macrophages are markedly enriched in the stenotic intestinal tissue of patients with Crohn's disease. These profibrotic macrophages secrete mCCL6 in a STAT3‐dependent manner. mCCL6 and its human ortholog hCCL15 activate fibroblasts via the CCR1 receptor, thereby driving excessive collagen deposition.Shu Wang, Jiayun Wang, Junjie Lin, Ziping Ye, Geyujia Zhou, Jingjing Ma, Junjian Sun, Jiang Yu, Yingdi Zhang, Nana Tang, Chunhua Jiao, Xiaojing Zhao, Hongjie Zhang +12 morewiley +1 more sourceVirtual Education is the Need of the Hour for the Global Gastroenterology Community: A Survey of Leaders of Professional Gastroenterology Organizations [PDF]

Advanced Science, EarlyView.ABSTRACT
Gastric cancer (GC) is a major global health concern, as its prevention and treatment remain significant challenges. The 8‐oxoguanine (o8G) modification of circRNAs, alongside their capacity to orchestrate liquid‐liquid phase separation (LLPS) and autophagy, plays a pivotal role in driving tumor progression and determining therapeutic outcomes.Lei Peng, Lurong Li, Zhenghui Zhu, Chenyang Li, Huaiming Sang, Guoxin Zhang, Xuan Li, Yini Dang, Yuanyuan Li +8 morewiley +1 more sourceRisk of Inflammatory Bowel Disease Following Hospital‐Treated Infections and Modulatory Role of Host Genetics to Support a Multi‐Hit Pathogenesis Model
Advanced Science, EarlyView.Hospital‐treated infections are linked to increased risk of inflammatory bowel disease in a large prospective cohort. This risk differs by infection burden, time since infection, and host immune‐genetic susceptibility. The findings support a multi‐hit pathogenesis model in which severe infection and inherited susceptibility jointly shape inflammatory ...Haiming Zhuang, Lintao Dan, Xin Xiang, Xixian Ruan, Shuai Yuan, Jialu Yao, Jiawei Geng, Jonas F. Advanced Science, EarlyView.A previously unrecognized microprotein, MP104, encoded by ZEB1‐AS1, emerges as a critical driver of colorectal cancer progression. MP104 links ubiquitin‐mediated protein degradation with translational reprogramming via the UBE2O–AMPKα2–mTOR–EIF4B axis, revealing an unrecognized layer of oncogenic regulation.Fang Chen, Miao Wang, Hongmei Yong, Jin Ding, Shiping Xu, Qirui Ge, Yan Wang, Lei Zhang, Qianqian Xiao, Benli Li, Li Lin, Sufang Chu, Qianqing Wang, Jin Bai, Pingfu Hou +14 morewiley +1 more source
