We describe a 73‐year‐old woman with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and prior gastrectomy who became ventilator‐dependent and underwent percutaneous transesophageal gastro‐tubing.

The prevalence of FPTI in this study was similar to reports internationally. This research shows that there were both modifiable and non‐modifiable significant risk factors for FPTI in Türkiye dairy herds, specifically colostrum feeding method and season of birth and herd size, dam parity and calf breed.
