ABSTRACT Apteronotus albifrons (Gymnotiformes: Apteronotidae), commonly known as the black ghost knifefish, is a high‐value ornamental fish that is susceptible to various parasites. The affected fish were wild‐caught fisheries and subsequently introduced into a commercial breeding system.
