Introduction Gastrointestinal stromal tumor is the most frequent nonepithelial tumor found in the gastrointestinal tract. One important clinical problem is that gastrointestinal stromal tumors, especially the extramural growth type, can be difficult to ...

Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors: a Rare Neoplasm Presenting with Gastrointestinal Bleeding [PDF]
Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) are rare tumors of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract that arise from primitive mesenchymal cells. GISTs occur throughout the GI tract but are usually located in the stomach and small intestine.

Generation of orthotopic patient-derived xenografts from gastrointestinal stromal tumor. [PDF]
BackgroundGastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) is the most common sarcoma and its treatment with imatinib has served as the paradigm for developing targeted anti-cancer therapies.

We identified GRIA2 as a critical driver of gastric cancer peritoneal metastasis through in vivo CRISPR screening. Mechanistically, GRIA2‐mediated calcium influx inhibits GSK3β and activates Wnt/β‐catenin signaling, driven by glutamate from cancer‐associated fibroblasts.

An unusual site of metastasis from gastrointestinal stromal tumor
Gastrointestinal stromal tumors are mesenchymal tumors of the gastrointestinal tract. They commonly metastasize within the abdominal cavity, particularly to the liver. Less commonly, metastases can be found in the lung or bone.

Gastric cancer‐derived exosomal TAGLN2 is identified as a key mediator of vascular reprogramming, with significantly elevated levels detected in patient serum. Independent of canonical SEMA4D signaling, it nucleates a cytoplasmic TAGLN2/NRP1/SEMA4D ternary complex that dually activates YAP, promoting angiogenesis, vascular dysfunction, and metastasis ...

Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor: A Rare Abdominal Tumor [PDF]
Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) are rare abdominal tumors which arise from the interstitial cells of Cajal in the gastrointestinal tract. Gastric GISTs are the most commonly seen GIST tumors and may grow to a very large size.

CellFreeGMF traces plasma cfRNA to likely originating cell types by integrating single‐cell atlases with graph‐regularized matrix factorization. The method decomposes cfRNA profiles into sample–cell contributions to reconstruct pseudo single‐cell expression.

This study evaluated the impact of distal resection margin (DRM) length on recurrence in 208 patients undergoing surgery for rectal neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). Our findings demonstrate that while oncological safety must unquestionably remain the top priority, a short pathological DRM (< 10 mm) does not increase recurrence risk when R0 resection is ...
