Gauge invariance of form factors

Il Nuovo Cimento, 1961
Discussions on validity limits of quantum electrodynamics usually are based on a comparison of data with theory into which form factors are introduced. The assumption that nonlocal-theory defects do not affect conclusions drawn is not valid when the form factors destroy the gauge invariance of the theory. Methods avoiding this difficulty are presented.

Covariant factor ordering of gauge systems

Physical Review D, 1986
On considere des systemes de jauge que l'on quantifie canoniquement d'une facon manifestement covariante sous toutes les transformations de la theorie ...

Factorization in extended electroweak gauge models

Physical Review D, 1981
Extensions of the standard electroweak ${G}^{0}\ensuremath{\equiv}\mathrm{SU}{(2)}_{L}\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}\mathrm{U}(1)$ gauge model, which include more neutral vector bosons, are strongly restricted but not excluded by the Hung-Sakurai (HS) factorization relations on neutrino-quark, neutrino-electron, and electron-quark amplitudes.

TOPOLOGICAL MEANING OF GAUGE ANOMALY AND GAUSSIAN FACTORS

Modern Physics Letters A, 1993
We consider 2n-dimensional non-Abelian gauge anomaly which is derived from (2n+2)-dimensional chiral anomaly using Gaussian factor regularization. Using this expression, we show explicitly the equivalence between the solution of Wess-Zumino condition obtained from (2n+2) dimensions and the anomaly given Fujikawa's method in arbitrary dimensions ...

Longitudinal and transverse gauge factors of polycrystalline strain gauges

Sensors and Actuators, 1984
Abstract The gauge factor of strain gauges is calculated considering the longitudinal and transverse strain sensitivity of the resistivity. The general result is applied to free wire strain gauges, adhered foil strain gauges and thin film strain gauges. The relation between the gauge factor and the piezoresistive constant πl and πt is given and it is

Form factors and gauge invariance in pion photoproduction

Physical Review C, 1992
We consider the effect of strong-vertex form factors on the gauge invariance of Born diagrams for the pion photoproduction reaction. The minimal-substitution prescription of Ohta for the electromagnetic current operator in pion photoproduction yields the same result as the simplest Born approach for one particular invariant amplitude.
