Absolute Moments of Generalized Hyperbolic Distributions and Approximate Scaling of Normal Inverse Gaussian Lévy-Processes [PDF]
Expressions for (absolute) moments of generalized hyperbolic (GH) and normal inverse Gaussian (NIG) laws are given in terms of moments of the corresponding symmetric laws.

A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF RADIATION FROM CIRCULAR AND RECTANGULAR APERTURES: LIMITATIONS ON THEIR USE FOR BESSEL BEAM FORMATION [PDF]
Subject and Purpose. Essentials of the processes for millimeter-wavelength radiation from circular apertures are analyzed, with emphasis on the formation of the field’s radiation pattern (RP) and modal structure in the aperture.

Multimodal Data‐Driven Microstructure Characterization
A self‐consistent autonomous workflow for EBSP‐based microstructure segmentation by integrating PCA, GMM clustering, and cNMF with information‐theoretic parameter selection, requiring no user input. An optimal ROI size related to characteristic grain size is identified.

We develop a data‐driven method to derive the mathematical expressions of the Flory–Huggins interaction parameter χ for the swelling behavior of temperature–responsive hydrogels. Starting from initial assumptions of χ, our workflow combines Bayesian optimization, Flory–Rehner theory, and symbolic regression to generate candidate χ expressions.

Mean anisotropy of homogeneous Gaussian random fields and anisotropic norms of linear translation-invariant operators on multidimensional integer lattices [PDF]
Sensitivity of output of a linear operator to its input can be quantified in various ways. In Control Theory, the input is usually interpreted as disturbance and the output is to be minimized in some sense.

Gaussian distribution of LMOV numbers
Recent advances in knot polynomial calculus allowed us to obtain a huge variety of LMOV integers counting degeneracy of the BPS spectrum of topological theories on the resolved conifold and appearing in the genus expansion of the plethystic logarithm of ...
