To address the issues of parameter coupling and high computational demands in existing feed-forward Gaussian splatting methods, we propose Gaussian Patch-level Mixture-of-Experts Splatting (GaPMeS), a lightweight feed-forward 3D Gaussian reconstruction ...

Geometry-Based Next Frame Prediction from Monocular Video
We consider the problem of next frame prediction from video input. A recurrent convolutional neural network is trained to predict depth from monocular video input, which, along with the current video image and the camera trajectory, can then be used to ...

Painterly rendering techniques: A state-of-the-art review of current approaches [PDF]
In this publication we will look at the different methods presented over the past few decades which attempt to recreate digital paintings. While previous surveys concentrate on the broader subject of non-photorealistic rendering, the focus of this paper ...

Deblur Gaussian Splatting SLAM
We present Deblur-SLAM, a robust RGB SLAM pipeline designed to recover sharp reconstructions from motion-blurred inputs. The proposed method bridges the strengths of both frame-to-frame and frame-to-model approaches to model sub-frame camera trajectories that lead to high-fidelity reconstructions in motion-blurred settings.

Distinctive neurophysiological correlates of sound onset and offset perception in humans
Abstract figure legend Electroencephalography (EEG) recordings were obtained from participants listening to successive pairs of 1‐2 s noises in a silent background (Study 1) or successive pairs 1‐2 s silent gaps in a noise background (Study 2). Participants heard the same stimuli in the context of either a duration discrimination task (identifying ...

Splat-LOAM: Gaussian Splatting LiDAR Odometry and Mapping
LiDARs provide accurate geometric measurements, making them valuable for ego-motion estimation and reconstruction tasks. Although its success, managing an accurate and lightweight representation of the environment still poses challenges. Both classic and NeRF-based solutions have to trade off accuracy over memory and processing times.
