OCReP: An Optimally Conditioned Regularization for Pseudoinversion Based Neural Training
In this paper we consider the training of single hidden layer neural networks by pseudoinversion, which, in spite of its popularity, is sometimes affected by numerical instability issues.

Selection of tuning parameters in bridge regression models via Bayesian information criterion
We consider the bridge linear regression modeling, which can produce a sparse or non-sparse model. A crucial point in the model building process is the selection of adjusted parameters including a regularization parameter and a tuning parameter in bridge

The J1-J2 model: First order phase transition versus deconfinement of spinons
We revisit the phase transition from the N\'eel ordered to a valence bond solid (VBS) state in the two-dimensional $J_1-J_2$ antiferromagnetic Heisenberg model.

Associated production in K+p interactions at 3.5 GcV/c
Abstract In a recently completed experiment using 3.54 GeV/c K+ mesons in the BNL 80-inch chamber, we have investigated the two-prong plus one or two VO topology for events with associated production. We find no evidence for any production of any hypercharge 2 states.

RR Lyrae Stars In The GCVS Observed By The Qatar Exoplanet Survey
We used the light curve archive of the Qatar Exoplanet Survey (QES) to investigate the RR Lyrae variable stars listed in the General Catalogue of Variable Stars (GCVS). Of 588 variables studied, we reclassify 14 as eclipsing binaries, one as an RS Canum Venaticorum-type variable, one as an irregular variable, four as classical Cepheids, and one as a ...

Genetic variability for pod yield and related traits in garden pea (Pisum sativum L.)
An experiment was conducted to examine the nature of genetic variability, correlation, association of various traits with pod yield and their direct and indirect effects for effective selection in garden pea.
