GCV for Tikhonov regularization by partial SVD
BIT Numerical Mathematics, 2017A new approach for the bounding of the Generalized Cross Validation (GCV) function is proposed in this paper. The developed approximation method is based on the observation that for many linear discrete ill-posed problems with a large matrix, it is quite inexpensive to determine the upper and lower bounds for the GCV function.

AbstractBackgroundCytomegalovirus (CMV) infection results in significant morbidity and mortality in lung transplant recipients. Ganciclovir (GCV) has dramatically reduced complications caused by CMV infections. Unfortunately, GCV resistance is identified in 5–10% of CMV‐infected patients.

AbstractWe describe successful treatment of 3 cases of human herpesvirus 6 (HHV‐6) encephalitis/myelitis following cord blood transplantation (CBT). Ganciclovir (GCV) (10 mg/kg/day) reduced HHV‐6 load to undetectable levels in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). Early dose reduction in the presence of HHV‐6 detectable in CSF resulted in an increased HHV‐6 load.

A GCV based method for nonlinear ill-posed problems
Computational Geosciences, 2000The authors deal with the solution of the nonlinear ill-posed equation \(F(m)=b\), where \(F:\mathbb{R}^M \to\mathbb{R}^N\) is a differentiable operator with \(M >N\), and right-hand side \(b\) is noisy. Let \(\phi(\beta, m)=\|F(m)-b\|^2+ \beta \|W(m-m_{\text{ref}}) \|^2\) be the Tikhonov functional of the problem.

Characterization of the Escherichia coli gcv operon
Gene, 1994The nucleotide (nt) sequence of the Escherichia coli gcvP gene was determined. The polypeptide deduced from the DNA sequence has an M(r) of 104,375 (957 amino acids). In a minicell system, gcvP encodes a polypeptide that migrates at 93.3 kDa on sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gels.

The overall aim of this study was to evaluate the corneal absorption of dipeptide monoester prodrugs of ganciclovir (GCV) and compare these results with L-valine-GCV and GCV. Another aim was to evaluate the pharmacokinetics of these prodrugs in aqueous humor.A well was placed on the cornea of anesthetized New Zealand albino rabbits with linear probes ...

BM3D denoising based on minimum GCV score
2015 International Conference on Computers, Communications, and Systems (ICCCS), 2015Block-matching and 3D filtering(BM3D) is an effective denoising approach introduced by Dabov et al. which utilizes 3D transform collaborative filtering on small similar patches extracted from the image corrupted by additive white Gaussian noise. However, when it comes to blind filtering, the denoising performance will worsen rapidly.
