THE CALCULATION OF BACKLASH IN THE GEARS BY USING THE MONTE CARLO METHOD

Kontrol'. Diagnostika, 2020
This paper is devoted to ensuring normal lateral clearance during the normalization of manufacturing errors of gear wheels and non-gear transmission elements. The task is complicated by the fact that GOST 1643–81 sets tolerances and maximum deviations relative to the working axles of the gears.

The influence and compensation of gear backlash on electric load system

2017 2nd International Conference on Frontiers of Sensors Technologies (ICFST), 2017
Aimed at the problem of harmonic distortion of the electric load simulator, it is pointed out that gear backlash is one of the main factors which influence the output moment of the electrical load simulator. A mathematical model of the load simulator with deadband, which is verified by the comparison of simulation curve and experimental curve, is ...

Nonlinear adaptive control for manipulator system with gear backlash

Proceedings of 35th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 1996
The backlash, which is caused by a gap between an actuator-side gear tooth and a link-side gear tooth, is a common phenomenon in manipulator systems with gear in their joints. However, if the amount of backlash is greater than the maximum allowed amount which is to ensure satisfactory meshing of gear, the system instability may appear in dynamic ...

Control of Robot Manipulators with a Model for Backlash Nonlinearity in Gears

2018
This paper presents a model for backlash nonlinearity in gears based on torque input-output equation. By combining the robot dynamic model with backlash, a stable sliding mode controller is developed and the asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system is shown using Lyapunov method and Barbalat’s Lemma.
