Characterization of the Novel Photosynthetic Protein PPP7 involved in Cyclic Electron Flow around PSI [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Photosynthetic organisms are able to convert light energy into chemical energy by the operation of the two photosystems, the cytochrome b6/f complex and the ATPase.

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

THE IMPACTS AND ADAPTIONS OF TRANSGENIC PLANTS IN AGROECOSYSTEMS

open access: yesEkonomika Poljoprivrede (1979), 2006
There is a multitude of concerns about the impact of genetically modified crops (GMCs) on the environment. The main important enviromental assessment of GM crops are putative invasiveness, vertical and/or horizontal gene flow, other ecological ...

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Population Structure and Gene Flow in the White Pine Weevil, Pissodes strobi (Coleoptera: Curculionidae)

open access: yes, 2004
: The white pine weevil, Pissodes strobi (Peck), is a major source of damage to young spruce and pine trees across North America. The species contains a substantial amount of genetic, morphological, and behavioral variation, and identification of ...

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Magnitude and implications of gene flow in gene conservation reserves.

open access: yes, 2000
A practical means of long term genetic conservation in forest trees is to establish natural (in situ) populations (i.e. gene resource management units, GRMUs) or ex situ plantings as gene conservation reserves.

DNA methylation and expression of MAPRE3 affect overall survival of early‐stage non‐small cell lung cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Both cg12821679MAPRE3 methylation and MAPRE3 expression are significantly associated with overall survival (OS) of non‐small cell lung cancer. Meanwhile, MAPRE3 expression significantly modified the effect of smoking cessation on OS. Smoking cessation benefits OS merely for patients with high MAPRE3 expression.

Mitochondrial genealogy of Western Australian barramundi: applications of inbreeding coefficients and coalescent analysis for separating temporal population processes

open access: yes, 1999
In Australian populations of barramundi Lates calcarifer, phylogenetic reconstruction of mtDNA sequences provided evidence of significant historical levels of gene flow, despite the substantial structuring of contemporary populations.

Landscape features influencing gene flow and connectivity of an endangered passerine [Dataset]

open access: yes
Within the dataset you can find the raster data (.asc) used for the optimization procedure to create resistance models for both years (1990/2018). Raster layers show the different landscape variables used in the study which were initially obtained from ...
