Gag-H protein expression in CRC cell lines.

open access: yes, 2016
Expression of Gag-H proteins was assessed by flow cytometry. MFI for each antibody clone and CRC cell line is depicted in the box plot diagram. The irrelevant control antibody (anti-His, 2G2B3) is colored light grey whereas the different anti Gag-H ...

Co‐Delivery of Sustained Release Chondroitinase ABC‐37 With Human iPSC‐Derived Neural Progenitors Promotes Transplant Survival and Functional Recovery in a Rodent Model of Stroke

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A regenerative strategy for stroke combines human stem cell–derived neural progenitor cells with sustained release of a matrix‐modifying, thermostable chondroitinase ABC‐37 enzyme. In a rat model of stroke, co‐delivery enhanced transplanted cell survival and neuronal differentiation, degraded inhibitory extracellular matrix components, and improved ...

Gag-DDX6 colocalization in situ upon provirus expression.

open access: yes, 2018
(A) PLA was used to detect regions in which Gag is within 40 nm from DDX6 in situ, with concurrent αGag IF for quantification of intracellular Gag levels. An experimental schematic for PLA methods is shown.

Loss of E3 Ubiquitin Ligase RINES via CpG Methylation Relieves Suppression of STAT3 and MYC, Facilitating Multiple Tumorigeneses

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Dysregulated protein modifications drive tumorigenesis. RINES, an E3 ubiquitin ligase, represses tumor cell proliferation and metastasis by facilitating RING domain‐dependent, ubiquitin–proteasome‐mediated degradation of STAT3 and MYC, which consequently restrains cancer stemness and oncogenic progression.

Calcitonin gene products and the kidney [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
Calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) is localized in capsaicin-sensitive nerve fibres in the kidney and urogenital tract whereas calcitonin reaches the kidney through the general circulation.

Sustainable Fabrication of Tailored Bone Substitutes: From High‐Throughput Scaffold Manufacturing, Scaled‐Up HMSC Expansion to Dynamic Cultivation in a Perfusion Bioreactor

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The demand for off‐the‐shelf biocompatible bone substitutes has driven the development of numerous independent in vitro technologies to generate products resembling physiological tissues. Due to technical challenges and overly simplified cultivation approaches/niches, the end‐products are often uniformly shaped and inferior to native bone ...

In Situ Stress‐Dispersing Hydrogel Millispheres via Load Redistribution to Restore Nucleus Pulposus Metabolic Homeostasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Local stress concentration disrupts metabolic homeostasis and induces inflammation in the nucleus pulposus (NP), thereby accelerating intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD). A biomimetic HA/ChS hydrogel millimeter sphere (ChS@HM) is developed to enable synergistic stress dispersion and sustained hydration lubrication.

RNA secondary structure and binding sites for gag gene products in the 5' packaging signal of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Virology, 1995
The selective encapsidation of retroviral RNA requires sequences in the Gag protein, as well as a cis-acting RNA packaging signal (psi site) near the 5' end of the genomic transcript. Gag protein of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) has recently been found to bind specifically to the HIV-1 psi element in vitro. Here we report studies aimed at

A hybrid lentivirus-transposon vector for safer gene therapy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Gene therapy vectors based on the HIV-1 lentivirus are an attractive option for clinical applications because they enter a broad range of target cells efficiently and deliver stable gene expression through integration into host chromosomes.

Nanozyme‐Reinforced miR‐197‐3p Delivery Resets Metabolic and Senescence Pathways to Rejuvenate Osteoarthritic Cartilage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Osteoarthritis (OA) is a progressive and disabling joint disease driven by oxidative stress, chondrocyte senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) degradation, yet lacks effective disease‐modifying treatments. In this study, we identified miR‐197‐3p as a previously unrecognized, cartilage‐protective miRNA significantly downregulated in both ...
