Evaluation of Vascular Control Mechanisms Utilizing Video Microscopy of Isolated Resistance Arteries of Rats [PDF]
This protocol describes the use of in vitro television microscopy to evaluate vascular function in isolated cerebral resistance arteries (and other vessels), and describes techniques for evaluating tissue perfusion using Laser Doppler Flowmetry (LDF) and

The tumor microenvironment is a dynamic, multifaceted complex system of interdependent cellular, biochemical, and biophysical components. Three‐dimensional in vitro models of the tumor microenvironment enable a better understanding of these interactions and their impact on cancer progression and therapeutic resistance.

Immunoresponse to Gene-Modified Hematopoietic Stem Cells
Gene transfer to and correction of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) are ideal strategies to cure a number of congenital and acquired disorders. However, transgene products may trigger immunological rejection of modified cells, limiting their therapeutic ...

Gut alterations in a chronic kidney disease rat model with diet‐induced vascular calcification
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients often suffer from intestinal and/or mineral and bone disorders. Using a rat model, we showed that uremic vascular calcification is associated with gut barrier alterations (decreased gut mucus production and Nlrp6 gene expression, increased gut inflammation), and plasma retention of gut‐origin uremic toxins (indoxyl

Vector delivery technique affects gene transfer in the cornea in vivo.
This study tested whether controlled drying of the cornea increases vector absorption in mouse and rabbit corneas in vivo and human cornea ex vivo, and studied the effects of corneal drying on gene transfer, structure and inflammatory reaction in the mouse cornea in vivo.Female C57 black mice and New Zealand White rabbits were used for in vivo studies.
