RKIP, a metastasis suppressor protein, modulates key oncogenic pathways in lung adenocarcinoma. In silico analyses linked low RKIP expression to poor survival. Functional studies revealed RKIP overexpression reduces tumor aggressiveness and enhances sensitivity to EGFR‐targeted therapies, while its loss promotes resistance.

Combining ability for yield and yield-associated traits in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)
The current breeding effort aims to develop new wheat genotypes with higher genetic potential, thereby contributing to food security. Ten wheat genotypes were crossed in a half-diallel mating design.

Heterosis in maize single crosses derived from a yellow Tuxpeño variety in Brazil. [PDF]
Most maize (Zea mays L.) crosses in Tropical regions use the heterotic pattern of Tupeno dent and Caribbean flint. Corsses between related lines are not used for commercial production.

Decrypting cancer's spatial code: from single cells to tissue niches
Spatial transcriptomics maps gene activity across tissues, offering powerful insights into how cancer cells are organised, switch states and interact with their surroundings. This review outlines emerging computational, artificial intelligence (AI) and geospatial approaches to define cell states, uncover tumour niches and integrate spatial data with ...

Bridging the gap: Multi‐stakeholder perspectives of molecular diagnostics in oncology
Although molecular diagnostics is transforming cancer care, implementing novel technologies remains challenging. This study identifies unmet needs and technology requirements through a two‐step stakeholder involvement. Liquid biopsies for monitoring applications and predictive biomarker testing emerge as key unmet needs. Technology requirements vary by

Combining Ability for Grain Yield and Popping Expansion in Popcorn (Zea mays everta) Hybrids
The poor yield and popping quality underscore the need for indigenous germplasm improvement. This study aimed to find parents with high general combining ability (GCA) and specific combining ability (SCA) for yield and popping traits.

Combining abilities and heterotic groups in Pisum sativum L. [PDF]
The objective of this research was to investigate the use of heterosis and estimates of the general combining ability (GCA) and specific combining ability (SCA) for yield and the yield-related traits for identifying suitable parents and forming heterotic

This study indicates that Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) does not originate from Merkel cells, and identifies gene, protein & cellular expression of immune‐linked and neuroendocrine markers in primary and metastatic Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) tumor samples, linked to Merkel cell polyomavirus (MCPyV) status, with enrichment of B‐cell and other immune cell
