Loss-of-field protection for generators
Electrical Engineering, 1942THOUGH electrical circuits from generator armature windings outward to utilization apparatus have received much attention from a protective viewpoint in the past 20 years, relatively little attention has been given to generator field-winding protection.

Generation of quasistatic magnetic fields
Review of Scientific Instruments, 1979A prototype switching system has been developed which can switch 20 kA at 230 V furnished by low-voltage dc generators at the National Magnet Laboratory. The energy is used to generate quasistatic magnetic fields in liquid-nitrogen-cooled copper coils for times approaching 1 s. The present arrangement is limited to fields up to 40 T.

GENERATION AS THE ORIGIN OF HIGGS FIELDS
Modern Physics Letters A, 1991This letter provides a simple reformulation of the standard electroweak theory of leptons with two generations as a generalized gauge theory. It is based on a discrete analogue of Kaluza–Klein theories, with the 'extra dimension' being the generations of the matter. Higgs fields appear as part of a generalized gauge field.

On Generalizing Boson Field Theories
Physical Review, 1949If a boson field theory is generalized to admit in the field Lagrangian all the derivatives of the field coordinates up to the \ensuremath{\sigma}th in a particularly symmetrical way, then we find that in the final expression for the interaction energy of fermions the usual interaction is replaced by a weighted sum of $\ensuremath{\sigma}$ such ...

Generation of Field Potentials in the Brain
The Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, 1997Neuronal function is closely correlated with bioelectrical signals. These electrical events can be detected as field potentials in the space surrounding cellular elements of the nervous system. The basic mechanisms underlying the generation of field potentials are described.

Field Generators for the Quantum Plane
2004Let k be a commutative field and q a (nonzero and not root of one) quantization parameter in k. Manin’s quantum plane P = k q[x,y] is the k-algebra of noncommutative polynomials in two variables with commutation law xy = qyx. The quantum torus R = k q[x ±1, y ±1 ] is the simple localization of P consisting of quantum Laurent polynomials. We denote by k

Theory of magnetic field generation
Physical Review E, 1996It is pointed out that fluctuating magnetic fields are generated on an ion time scale in laser-induced plasmas in the limit \ensuremath{\omega}\ensuremath{\ll}${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\omega}}}_{\mathit{pe}}$ where \ensuremath{\omega} is the perturbation frequency and ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\omega}}}_{\mathit{pe}}$ is the electron plasma oscillation ...

A Generalized Method of Field Quantization
Physical Review, 1953A method of field quantization is investigated which is more general than the usual methods of quantization in accordance with Bose of Fermi statistics, though these are included in the scheme. The commutation properties and matrix representations of the quantized field amplitudes are determined, and the energy levels of the field are derived in the ...
