Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Cross-validation of the general neuropsychological deficit scale (GNDS)
Sherer and Adams (1993) reported "limited support" for the validity of Reitan and Wolfson's (1988) Neuropsychological Deficit Scales. The present study was designed to cross-validate one of these scales--the General Neuropsychological Deficit Scale (GNDS).

Predicted Residual Error Sum of Squares of Mixed Models: An Application for Genomic Prediction
Genomic prediction is a statistical method to predict phenotypes of polygenic traits using high-throughput genomic data. Most diseases and behaviors in humans and animals are polygenic traits. The majority of agronomic traits in crops are also polygenic.

Adaptive kernel density estimation with generalized least square cross-validation
0000-0002-7504-6383WOS: 000464826600025Adaptive kernel density estimator is an efficient estimator when the density to be estimated has long tail or multi-mode. They use varying bandwidths at each observation point by adapting a fixed bandwidth for data.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Fourier Series Nonparametric Regression Modeling in the Case of Rainfall in West Java Province
The Fourier series is a trigonometric polynomial that has flexibility, so it adapts effectively to the local nature of the data. This Fourier series estimator is generally used when the data used is investigated for unknown patterns and there is a ...

The human gut microbiome across the life course
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.
