A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis of the Recurrence of Autoimmune Encephalitis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Autoimmune encephalitis (AE) is a disease with a potential for recurrence, and patients receive immunotherapy to prevent it. However, there is no consensus on the duration of immunotherapy. This study aimed to determine the recurrence rate and identify the risk factors for AE to provide guidance on the duration of immunotherapy ...

SPG4 and Dementia: Expanding the Clinical Spectrum

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Hereditary spastic paraplegia (HSP) is a group of disorders characterized by progressive spasticity and lower limb weakness, with mutations in SPG4/SPAST being the most common cause. Detailed studies and clinical and molecular comparisons across different populations are missing.

Generalized Disturbance Observer Synthesis Using a Two-Stage Heuristic Algorithm

open access: yes, 2017
Disturbance observer (DOB) based control has been widely applied in industries due to its easy usage but powerful disturbance rejection ability. However, the existence of innate structure constraint, namely the inverse of the nominal plant, prevents its ...

Clinical Outcomes of SEEG‐Guided Radiofrequency Thermocoagulation in Children With Focal Drug‐Resistant Epilepsy: A Multicenter Real‐World Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Stereoelectroencephalography‐guided radiofrequency thermocoagulation (SEEG‐RFTC) has emerged as a safe and effective minimally invasive treatment for children with drug‐resistant focal epilepsy. Although evidence from real‐world studies remains limited, numerous pediatric cases have demonstrated promising outcomes. This retrospective

Stressed but stable : Canopy loss decreased species synchrony and metabolic variability in an intertidal hard-bottom community

open access: yes, 2012
This work was supported by the Sustainable Development, Global Change and Ecosystems Programme of the European Community’s Sixth Framework Programme (contract # GOCE-CT-2003-505446)The temporal stability of aggregate community properties depends on the ...

Synthesis of recovery patterns in microbial communities across environments

open access: yesMicrobiome
Background Disturbances alter the diversity and composition of microbial communities. Yet a generalized empirical assessment of microbiome responses to disturbance across different environments is needed to understand the factors driving microbiome ...

RNA Sequencing Resolves Cryptic Pathogenic Variants in Mitochondrial Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Mitochondrial diseases are the most common inherited metabolic disorders, characterized by pronounced clinical and genetic heterogeneity that complicates molecular diagnosis. Although DNA‐based sequencing approaches have become standard in genetic testing, up to half of patients remain without a definitive diagnosis.

High‐Resolution MRI Revealed Different Etiology‐Specific Associations With Cerebral Infarction in Adult Moyamoya Vasculopathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective High‐resolution MRI enables detailed assessment of intracranial vessel wall pathology in moyamoya vasculopathy. We aimed to classify adult moyamoya vasculopathy etiologies using high‐resolution MRI and to examine subtype‐specific associations between high‐resolution MRI features and ischemic infarction.

A Generalized Observer for Estimating Fast–Varying Disturbances

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
In this paper, a generalized disturbance observer (GDO) is proposed for estimating a broad range of disturbances including fast-varying ones. The estimation error of the proposed GDO is proven to be ultimately bounded provided that an arbitrary $r^{\mathrm {th}}$ time derivative of disturbance is bounded.

Prognostic Value of Neurofilament Light Chain and Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein in ALD‐Related Myelopathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background X‐linked adrenoleukodystrophy (X‐ALD) is a neurometabolic disorder caused by pathogenic variants in ABCD1, leading to slowly progressive spinal cord disease in nearly all affected men. Sensitive biomarkers to quantify disease severity and predict progression are needed for clinical care and trial design.
