Fourier series method for path generation of RCCC mechanism

Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part C: Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science, 2011
The mathematical representation of the coupler curves of RCCC mechanism is established. The coupler curve of RCCC mechanism is analysed using the Fourier series theory. The internal relation between the coupler curve and the dimensional type of the RCCC mechanism in the frequency domain is discovered.

Comparison between the Fourier finite‐difference method and the generalized‐screen method

Geophysical Prospecting, 2009
ABSTRACTThe Fourier finite‐difference propagator and the generalized‐screen propagator are two general high‐order forms of one‐way dual‐domain methods. We compare these two propagators mainly on phase accuracy, computational efficiency and 3D extension. A comparison of phase accuracy shows that the high‐order generalized‐screen propagator is preferable

New Fourier methods for generation system production costing

IEE Proceedings C Generation, Transmission and Distribution, 1991
Two new, robust, and computationally efficient Fourier methods for solving the probabilistic production costing problem are presented. The method first proposed yields closely matching results with those of the standard recursive method, which is an exact method.

Bending of Elastic Plates: Generalized Fourier Series Method

2017
A convenient way to approximate the solutions of boundary value problems for this mathematical model is to expand them in a complete set of functions that are intrinsically tied to the structure of the appropriate layer potentials. Computation based on such expansions, however, is hampered by the fact that the Gram–Schmidt process used to ...

Scalar analysis of general dielectric waveguides by Fourier decomposition method

Journal of Lightwave Technology, 1999
The scalar Helmholtz eigenproblem for dielectric waveguides is solved by expressing the field in a series of sines in the transverse plane (Fourier decomposition). A matrix eigenproblem is correspondingly built up, where the refractive index distribution is represented either by a grid of homogeneous rectangles or by polynomial functions defined over ...

Summability of generalized multiple Fourier series by the method of Abel

Siberian Mathematical Journal, 1990
Let \(K=\{x\in R^ m:| x_ i| \leq \pi\), \(i=1,2,...,m\}\) and the \(2\pi\)-periodic function f(x), \(x\in K\) have a unique singularity point \(x_ 0\). If \(x_ 0=0\) then there is some non-negative decreasing function \(\alpha\) (u) on (0,T] such that \(\| x\|^{\alpha (\| x\|)}f(x)\in L(K).\) Let M(u) be an integer-valued non-negative function on (0,T]

A New Fourier Method for Evaluating Generation System Reliability Indices

IEEE Power Engineering Review, 1986
A new, robust, and computationally efficient Fourier method for evaluating the loss of load probability and expected value of energy not served in a generation system is presented in this paper. An efficient algorithm is developed for computirg the transformed probability density function of outages of all the generatig units of the system.

Fourier series based method of generating continuous controls for driftless nonholonomic systems

Proceedings. 1998 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (Cat. No.98CH36146), 2002
A computationally effective method is presented able to generate controls steering a driftless nonholonomic system in a desired direction. By using the Campbell-Baker-Hausdorff-Dynkin formula piecewise constant controls are obtained that realize the desired motion.
