Strength Model for Concrete in Near-Reinforcement Region

open access: yesStructural Mechanics of Engineering Constructions and Buildings
The relevant problem of concrete strength in the near-reinforcement zone is solved as a problem of volumetric stress-strain state with the “closure” of output integral parameters of this zone on the framework of the whole reinforced concrete element ...

Crack propagation in the vicinity of the interface in layered materials [PDF]

open access: yesApplied and Computational Mechanics, 2009
The paper deals with the problem of crack propagation in the vicinity of the interface in layered materials. Layered materials are often used in practice, primarily because of their better mechanical properties in comparison with the properties of ...

Plastic Failure Analysis of Roadway Floor Surrounding Rocks Based on Unified Strength Theory

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2018
Taking the whole surrounding rock of an excavation roadway as the research object, the elastoplastic failure mechanics analysis of the surrounding rock body of the excavated roadway under three-directional in situ stresses is carried out by using the ...

Digital Microneedles for Multiplexed Transdermal Sensing via Fluorescent QR Codes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Digital fluorescent microneedles encode biochemical information in skin into scannable QR codes through threshold‐activated probes that generate binary on/off signals. By transforming analog fluorescence into discrete digital patterns, this platform enables calibration‐free, multiplexed transdermal sensing of physiologically relevant biomarkers ...

Generalization of Tsytovich strength conditions for soils of anisotropic structure

open access: yesҚарағанды университетінің хабаршысы. Математика сериясы, 2019
The problem of developing a new generalized strength (plasticity)condition is applied to soils of anisotropic, in particular a transversal - isotropic (trans - structural) structure.

Decoding NASICON and Its Metal Interface for Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review paper focuses on lithium‐ and sodium‐based NASICON solid electrolytes and their interfaces with metal anodes using a top‐down framework. It begins with NASICON fundamentals, elucidates anode‐induced failure mechanisms, surveys advanced characterization strategies to understand them, summarizes mitigation approaches, and concludes with a ...

A GENERALIZATION OF {\RM GO{\L}\c{A}B'S} THEOREM AND APPLICATIONS TO FRACTURE MECHANICS

open access: yesMathematical Models and Methods in Applied Sciences, 2002
We study the lower semicontinuity for functionals of the form K → ∫K φ (x, ν)dℋ1 defined on compact sets in ℝ2 with a finite number of connected components and finite ℋ1 measure and apply the result to the study of quasi-static growth of brittle fractures in linearly elastic inhomogeneous and anisotropic bodies.

Emergent Freestanding Complex Oxide Membranes for Multifunctional Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review surveys freestanding oxide membranes and covers fabrication and three pathways for studies and devices: strain‐free and strained membranes, and van der Waals‐integrated heterostructures. We show how coupled oxide responses map onto these routes and cross‐couple to expand behaviors.

Decoding High‐voltage LiCoO2: From Degradation to Stabilization Toward Durable Li‐ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review systematically addresses the degradation mechanisms and stabilization strategies for high‐voltage LiCoO2 cathodes. Key enhancement approaches including foreign‐ion doping, surface modifications, structural design, and electrolyte optimization are critically assessed.

Redefining Separator Design and Water Activity for High‐Energy Zinc Batteries Using Covalent Organic Framework

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Device‐level zinc batteries are energy‐limited by the mass/volume of inactive components, while lean‐electrolyte operation triggers interfacial water depletion and unstable kinetics. Here we elucidate lean‐failure mechanisms and develop a COF@PAN functional separator that regulates hydrogen‐bonding networks to manage water activity and accelerate ...
