On Joint Approximation of Analytic Functions by Beurling Zeta-Functions

open access: yesMathematics
For j=1,…,r, let Pj be a system of generalized prime numbers, NPj the corresponding system of generalized integers, and ζPj(s), s=σ+it, the Beurling zeta-function. In the paper, we consider simultaneous approximation of a collection of analytic functions

On Universality of Some Beurling Zeta-Functions

open access: yesAxioms
Let P be the set of generalized prime numbers, and ζP(s), s=σ+it, denote the Beurling zeta-function associated with P. In the paper, we consider the approximation of analytic functions by using shifts ζP(s+iτ), τ∈R. We assume the classical axioms for the

Semimultiplicative generalized arithmetical functions [PDF]

open access: yesMathematica Bohemica
By a generalized arithmetical function we mean a function from the set of positive integers to a ring with identity, and we say that a generalized arithmetical function $f$ is semimultiplicative if $f(n) = c_f f_M(n/a_f)$, where $c_f$ is a unit in the ...

Generalized H-fold sumset and Subsequence sum

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Mathématique
Let $A$ and $H$ be nonempty finite sets of integers and positive integers, respectively. The generalized $H$-fold sumset, denoted by $H^{(r)}A$, is the union of the sumsets $h^{(r)}A$ for $h\in H$ where, the sumset $h^{(r)}A$ is the set of all integers ...

On the Generalized Hyers-Ulam-Rassias Stability of Quadratic Functional Equations

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2009
We achieve the general solution and the generalized Hyers-Ulam-Rassias and Ulam-Gavruta-Rassias stabilities for quadratic functional equations f(ax+by)+f(ax−by)=(b(a+b)/2)f(x+y)+(b(a+b)/2)f(x−y)+(2a2−ab−b2)f(x)+(b2−ab)f(y) where a, b are nonzero fixed ...

On some links between the generalised Lucas pseudoprimes of level k

open access: yesAnalele Stiintifice ale Universitatii Ovidius Constanta: Seria Matematica, 2023
Pseudoprimes are composite integers sharing behaviours of the prime numbers, often used in practical applications like public-key cryptography. Many pseudoprimality notions known in the literature are defined by recurrent sequences.

Approximation by Generalized Lupaş Operators Based on q-Integers

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
The purpose of this paper is to introduce q-analogues of generalized Lupaş operators, whose construction depends on a continuously differentiable, increasing, and unbounded function ρ .

Characterization of Defect Distribution in an Additively Manufactured AlSi10Mg as a Function of Processing Parameters and Correlations with Extreme Value Statistics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Commutator Subgroups of Generalized Hecke and Extended Generalized Hecke Groups

open access: yesAnalele Stiintifice ale Universitatii Ovidius Constanta: Seria Matematica, 2018
Let p and q be integers such that 2 ≤ p ≤ q; p + q > 4 and let Hp,q be the generalized Hecke group associated to p and q: The generalized Hecke group Hp,q is generated by X(z) = -(z-λp)-1 and Y (z) = -(z+ λq)-1 where λp = 2 cos ≤ π/p and λq = 2 cos π/q .

Symbolic Regression and Multi‐Objective Optimization of the Flory–Huggins Interaction Parameter for Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
We develop a data‐driven method to derive the mathematical expressions of the Flory–Huggins interaction parameter χ for the swelling behavior of temperature–responsive hydrogels. Starting from initial assumptions of χ, our workflow combines Bayesian optimization, Flory–Rehner theory, and symbolic regression to generate candidate χ expressions.
