Structural Variants in the Human Genome Associated With Gut Microbiome and Blood Metabolic Traits With Potential Causal Links

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Based on a multi‐omics cohort of 2002 individuals comprising high‐depth whole‐genome and metagenomic sequencing data, blood metabolites, and detailed questionnaires, we identified 138 859 high‐confidence SVs, uncovering 36 significant SV–microbiome associations and 48 SV–blood metabolite associations.

A Compact and Fast Single‐Spike TTFS Encoder With Ultralow Operating Voltage for Efficient Neuromorphic Fourier Transform

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A Pt/TaOx/V single‐spike TTFS encoder achieves ultralow‐voltage (∼0.35 V), high‐speed (∼100 ns) operation with simplified circuitry. Integrating bipolar nonuniform temporal encoding with a spiking‐DFT neuron model enables a neuromorphic FFT framework. Device‐calibrated simulations demonstrate high spectral fidelity across multitone, speech, and chirp ...

Sub‐Second Ratiometric Fluorescence Imaging of Histamine Dynamics in Living Cells via a Supramolecular Probe

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A tailored tripartite supramolecular ratiometric probe, engineered by modulating the fluorogenic guest's cationic locus, enables ultrafast histamine monitoring in living cells. Utilizing a competitive displacement mechanism, this system achieves a sub‐second response time with high selectivity.

Semi‐Artificial Photosynthesis Enables Light‐Driven Biomanufacturing in Non‐Photosynthetic Bacteria

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A non‐invasive strategy exploits endogenous H2S metabolism in B. subtilis to drive in situ CdS biomineralization, enabling tight bio‐abiotic contact without genetic modification. Light harvested by the biomineralized nanoparticles powers NADPH regeneration, elevating 2’‐fucosyllactose and surfactin titres two‐ to three‐fold.
