Generalized global defect solutions [PDF]

open access: yesThe European Physical Journal C, 2007
We investigate the presence of defect structures in generalized models described by real scalar field in $(1,1)$ space-time dimensions. We work with two distinct generalizations, one in the form of a product of functions of the field and its derivative, and the other as a sum.

Existence and smoothness of solutions to second initial boundary value problems for Schrodinger systems in cylinders with non-smooth bases

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2008
In this paper, we consider the second initial boundary value problem for strongly general Schrodinger systems in both the finite and the infinite cylinders $Q_T ...

The Influence of Non-Isothermal Conditions on Pressure Head Jumps in the Nonlinear Consolidation Problem in the Presence of Geobarriers

open access: yesJournal of Optimization, Differential Equations and Their Applications
A nonlinear boundary value problem is considered for a system of parabolic equations in an inhomogeneous region, that requires conjugation conditions.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Generalized solution of boundary value problem with an inhomogeneous boundary condition

open access: yesMANAS: Journal of Engineering, 2019
In this problem, we study the solution to boundary value problem for a controlled oscillation process, described by Fredholm integro-differential equation with an inhomogeneous boundary condition.

THE SOLUTION OF AN OPTIMAL CONTROL PROBLEM FOR A THIRD-ORDER EQUATION IN THE PRESENCE OF DISTRIBUTED AND STARTING CONTROLS

open access: yesМіжнародний науково-технічний журнал "Проблеми керування та інформатики"
There are a large number of scientific articles and monographs devoted to various problems of control theory in systems described by partial differential equations, which are fairly well represented in [1–6].

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Existence of weak solutions for mixed problems of parabolic systems

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2010
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the existence of generalized solutions for strongly parabolic systems in a cylindrical domain. The decay of the solution at infinity, depending on the right-hand of the equation, is also studied in this ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.
