Solvability of a nonlocal problem for a hyperbolic equation with degenerate integral conditions

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2019
In this paper, we consider a nonlocal problem with integral conditions for hyperbolic equation. Close attention focuses on degenerate integral conditions, namely, on the second kind integral conditions which degenerate into the first kind conditions at ...

Generalized analytical solution for advection-dispersion equation in finite spatial domain with arbitrary time-dependent inlet boundary condition [PDF]

open access: yesHydrology and Earth System Sciences, 2011
This study presents a generalized analytical solution for one-dimensional solute transport in finite spatial domain subject to arbitrary time-dependent inlet boundary condition. The governing equation includes terms accounting for advection, hydrodynamic

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

A problem with nonlocal integral 1st kind conditions for 4th order partial differential equation

open access: yesВестник Самарского университета: Естественнонаучная серия
In this article, we consider a nonlocal problem with integral conditions for one-dimensional 4th order partial differential equation. A distinguishing feature of this problem is the presence of integral conditions of the 1st kind.

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

A Generic Solution?

open access: yesCurrent Anthropology, 2007
In 1997 and 1998 the Mexican government encouraged the introduction of generic drugs into Mexico, Latin America’s biggest and fastest-growing pharmaceutical market. In contrast to the situation in Brazil, where anti-retrovirals and HIV/AIDS treatment have been the centerpiece of a powerful stateled generics “revolution,” in Mexico the move to cheaper ...

Solutions of anisotropic elliptic equations in unbounded domains

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2013
In the paper the Dirichlet problem for an anisotropic quasilinear elliptic equations of the second order is considered. The upper estimates for the generalized solution of this Dirichlet problem are received, the closeness is proved for the isotropic ...

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Generalized solutions to the gKdV equation

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2010
In this article we study the Cauchy problem in $mathcal{G}_2((0,T)imes mathbb{R})$ (the algebra of generalized functions, in the sense of Colombeau) for the generalized Korteweg-de Vries equation, with initial condition $varphi in mathcal{G}_2(mathbb{
