Therapeutic Apheresis in Nigeria: A Multi‐Center Summary of Abstracts From the Inaugural Nigerian Society for Apheresis Scientific Meeting

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Therapeutic apheresis (TA) is an established treatment modality for hematologic, neurologic, and immunologic disorders, yet access remains severely limited in sub‐Saharan Africa. Donor apheresis, including platelet apheresis collection from healthy donors, represents an important complementary modality supporting blood product ...

Generalized fractional inequalities of the Hermite-Hadamard type via new Katugampola generalized fractional integrals

open access: yesKarpatsʹkì Matematičnì Publìkacìï, 2022
A new generalization of the Katugampola generalized fractional integrals in terms of the Mittag-Leffler functions is proposed. Consequently, new generalizations of the Hermite-Hadamard inequalities by this newly proposed fractional integral operator, for

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Generalized Bessel function of Type D

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2008
We write down the generalized Bessel function associated with the root system of type D by means of multivariate hypergeometric series. Our hint comes from the particular case of the Brownian motion in the Weyl chamber of type D.

Generalized fractal Jensen and Jensen–Mercer inequalities for harmonic convex function with applications

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2022
In this paper, we present a generalized Jensen-type inequality for generalized harmonically convex function on the fractal sets, and a generalized Jensen–Mercer inequality involving local fractional integrals is obtained.

Generalized roundness and negative type.

open access: yesMichigan Mathematical Journal, 1997
A metric space \((X,d)\) has roundness \(q\) if, for every pair of pairs of points \(\{a_1,a_2\}\) and \(\{b_1,b_2\}\) in \(X\) we have \[ d(a_1,a_2)^q + d(b_1,b_2)^q \leq \sum_{1\leq 1,j \leq 2} d(a_i,b_j)^q. \] Generalized roundness is defined similarly by means of an inequality for each pair of \(n\)-tuples of points. The space has negative type \(q\

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Generalized Ritt type and generalized Ritt weak type connected growth properties of entire functions represented by vector valued Dirichlet series [PDF]

open access: yesSahand Communications in Mathematical Analysis, 2017
In this paper, we introduce the idea of generalized Ritt type and generalised Ritt weak type of entire functions represented by a vector valued Dirichlet series.

Turán type inequalities for generalized Mittag-Leffler function

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2017
In this paper, we show several Turán type inequalities for a generalized Mittag-Leffler function with four parameters via the ( p , k ) $(p,k)$ -gamma function.

HLA Typing for the Next Generation

open access: yesPLOS ONE, 2015
Allele-level resolution data at primary HLA typing is the ideal for most histocompatibility testing laboratories. Many high-throughput molecular HLA typing approaches are unable to determine the phase of observed DNA sequence polymorphisms, leading to ambiguous results.
