Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Generic Views on Data Types

open access: yes, 2006
A generic function is defined by induction on the structure of types. The structure of a data type can be defined in several ways. For example, in PolyP a pattern functor gives the structure of a data type viewed as a fixed point, and in Generic Haskell a structural representation type gives an isomorphic type view of a data type in terms of sums of ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Generic Programming with Dependent Types [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Some programs are doubly generic. For example, map is datatype-generic in that many different data structures support a mapping operation. A generic programming language like Generic Haskell can use a single definition to generate map for each type. However, map is also arity-generic because it belongs to a family of related operations that differ in ...

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Generalized Steffensen Type Inequalities Involving Convex Functions

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2014
In this paper generalized Steffensen type inequalities related to the class of functions that are “convex at point c” are derived and as a consequence inequalities involving the class of convex functions are obtained.

On a type of generalized open sets

open access: yesApplied General Topology, 2011
In this paper, a new class of sets called μ-generalized closed (briefly μg-closed) sets in generalized topological spaces are introduced and studied. The class of all μg-closed sets is strictly larger than the class of all μ-closed sets (in the sense of ...

Constructing time-homogeneous generalized diffusions consistent with optimal stopping values [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Consider a set of discounted optimal stopping problems for a one-parameter family of objective functions and a fixed diffusion process, started at a fixed point.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

FIXED POINT THEOREM OF KANNAN-TYPE MAPPINGS IN GENERALIZED FUZZY METRIC SPACES [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematical Modelling & Computations, 2016
Binayak et al in [1] proved a fixed point of generalized Kannan type-mappings in generalized Menger spaces. In this paper we extend gen- eralized Kannan-type mappings in generalized fuzzy metric spaces. Then we prove a fixed point theorem of this kind of
