A Fast Method for Blind Identification of Punctured Convolutional Codes [PDF]
The existing method for blind identification of a punctured convolutional code involves searching for dual words and the puncturing pattern exhaustively.

Matrix Generators for the Orthogonal Groups
Generators for the groups \(\text{SL}(l,q)\), \(\text{Sp}(2m,q)\), \(U(l,q)\) and \(\text{Sz}(q)\) have been available in computer algebra systems for some time. But until recently it has been impractical to work with these groups for large dimensions and fields.

Generalized topological transition matrix [PDF]
This article represents a major step in the unification of the theory of algebraic, topological and singular transition matrices by introducing a definition which is a generalization that encompasses all of the previous three. When this more general transition matrix satisfies the additional requirement that it covers flow-defined Conley-index ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

To help the reverse Brayton cycle cool the refrigerant from 100 K to 50 K, an auxiliary generator, with a housed stator, is studied and optimized, and the influences of weights in the cost- function on the results are discussed.

Estimation of the infinitesimal generator by square-root approximation [PDF]
For the analysis of molecular processes, the estimation of time-scales, i.e., transition rates, is very important. Estimating the transition rates between molecular conformations is -- from a mathematical point of view -- an invariant subspace projection

Generative Flows with Matrix Exponential
Generative flows models enjoy the properties of tractable exact likelihood and efficient sampling, which are composed of a sequence of invertible functions. In this paper, we incorporate matrix exponential into generative flows. Matrix exponential is a map from matrices to invertible matrices, this property is suitable for generative flows.

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

A Liquid-Metal-Based Dielectrophoretic Microdroplet Generator
This paper proposes a novel microdroplet generator based on the dielectrophoretic (DEP) force. Unlike the conventional continuous microfluidic droplet generator, this droplet generator is more like “invisible electric scissors”.

Semiparametric Inference and Lower Bounds for Real Elliptically Symmetric Distributions
This paper has a twofold goal. The first aim is to provide a deeper understanding of the family of the Real Elliptically Symmetric (RES) distributions by investigating their intrinsic semiparametric nature.
