Drug Import Replacement Is a Perspective Direction of the Development of Russian Economy

open access: yesУправленческое консультирование, 2018
The development of the domestic pharmaceutical industry as a science-intensive and hightech sector of the country’s economy is, among other things, a pledge of the drug safety of the state, especially in the conditions of a modern complex political ...

Generic Generators

open access: yes, 2023
The goal of this paper is to present an approach to Hod Pair Capturing (HPC). $HPC$ is the most outstanding open problem of descriptive inner model theory. More specifically, we introduce two principles, the Direct Limit Independence and the Bounded Direct Limits, and show that they together imply HPC.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Médicaments génériques : pivot de la reconstruction de l’industrie pharmaceutique

open access: yesRevue de la Régulation, 2015
The pharma has a particular significance given the challenges it involves for public health, economics, politics and ethics. The medicines production is therefore subject to multiple and complex regulations, both national and international. While some of

Opinion of patients seeking primary care regarding prescription of generic drugs: A cross-sectional study

open access: yesJournal of Family Medicine and Primary Care, 2020
Background: Generic drugs are low-cost alternatives to branded drugs. The government of India is encouraging physicians to prescribe the generics to decrease out-of-pocket expenditure of health care.

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Multiple policies to enhance prescribing efficiency for established medicines in Europe with a particular focus on demand-side measures: findings and future implications

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology, 2014
Introduction: The appreciable growth in pharmaceutical expenditure has resulted in multiple initiatives across Europe to lower generic prices and enhance their utilisation. However, considerable variation in their use and prices.

Non-equivalence of antibiotic generic drugs and risk for intensive care patients [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Background: The underlying axiom in applying generic drugs is the equivalence of their active ingredient with the (usually more expensive) innovator product, an all-embracing statement with the insidious result that physicians assume that the generic ...

From Generation to Generation [PDF]

open access: yesClinical Chemistry, 2019
This work (Fig. 1) is a geometric abstraction that I created using pencil, ink, and acrylic paint on canvas. It could be interpreted as a spatial representation of time, peering along the branches of a pedigree or phylogenetic tree. The tree consists of three main branches with “cousins” on two of the branches connected by …

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
