Phosphoinositides and inositol phosphates as molecular glues
Inositol phosphates (IPs) and phosphoinositides (PIPs) regulate diverse eukaryotic processes. Beyond recruiting signaling proteins or acting as structural cofactors, recent studies suggest they mediate protein–protein interactions as natural molecular glues.

Predictive Models Using Fitness Distributions of Genetic Operators [PDF]
An important goal of the theory of genetic algorithms is to build predictive models of how well genetic algorithms are expected to perform, given a representation, a fitness landscape, and a set of genetic operators. This paper attempts to provide pieces

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

ECONOMIC POWER DISPATCH USING THE COMBINATION OF TWO GENETIC ALGORITHMS
Lately, one notices an increase in the applications of the genetic algorithms (GA) through several fields, and one noted that all the utilisateurs(exploiteurs) these algorithms wonder on the choice of the values of the genetic operators in order to ...

Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

Static task allocation algorithm for multi-heterogeneous UAVs based on improved genetic operators [PDF]
To address the issues of insufficient global optimality and robustness in traditional mission planning for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in urban disaster relief scenarios, this paper proposes a multi-heterogeneous UAV static task allocation algorithm ...

A Study of the Performance Effect of Genetic Operators [PDF]
Performance of genetic algorithms (GAs) is mainly determined by several factors. Not only the genetic operators affect the performance of a GA with varying degrees, but also the parameter settings for genetic operators interact in a complicated manner ...

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an
