Genome Assembly

2018
Genome assembly uses sequence similarity to go from sequencing reads to longer contiguous sequences (contigs). Scaffolds are contigs linked together by gaps where the order and orientation of the contigs is known but the exact sequence connecting two contigs is unknown, represented by Ns which estimate the gap length.

Neem Genome Assembly

2019
Genome assembly refers to the process of taking a large number of short DNA sequences and putting them back together to create a representation of the original chromosomes from which the DNA originated. For assembling neem genome, we filtered the NGS raw reads from Illumina to get high-quality reads followed by assembly using Velvet assembler.

Particle Assembly and Genome Packaging

2003
Foamy virus (FV) replication is distinct from that of all other retroviruses in many respects, including viral assembly. In fact, the viral assembly pathway is rather similar to that of hepadnaviruses such as hepatitis B virus. Foamy virus Gag does not contain landmark retroviral assembly domains such as the major homology region, Cys-His boxes, or a ...

Conjugative Assembly Genome Engineering (CAGE)

2019
Conjugative assembly genome engineering (CAGE) enables the transfer of large chromosomal regions from a donor to a recipient. Specific regions of the donor chromosome can be introduced in the recipient genome by the directed insertion of an origin of transfer and two selection cassettes.
