Redefining cancer photodynamic therapy with gold nanoparticles
Gold nanoparticle (AuNP)‐based photodynamic therapy (PDT) uses light to increase reactive oxygen species (ROS) production for effective cancer therapy. AuNP‐PDT systems are targeted to tumor tissues, and upon light irradiation, produce ROS to cause cellular damage and apoptosis.
