GENETIC DIVERSITY OF SOME BREAD WHEAT GENOTYPES USING RAPD TECHNIQUE [PDF]
A Group of five bread wheat genotypes that were newly introduced to Iraq were assessed for their genetic similarity using the random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) technique. The genomic DNA of the genotypes was amplified with five RAPD primers.

The Cryptosporidium "mouse" genotype is conserved across geographic areas. [PDF]
A 298-bp region of the Cryptosporidium parvum 18S rRNA gene and a 390-bp region of the acetyl coenzyme A synthetase gene were sequenced for a range of Cryptosporidium isolates from wild house mice (Mus domesticus), a bat (Myotus adversus), and cattle ...

Genotype and phenotype analysis of α-thalassemia fusion gene in southern China
Objective The α-globin fusion gene between the HBA2 and HBAP1 genes, is clinically important in thalassemia screening because this fusion gene can cause severe hemoglobin (Hb) H disease when combined with α0 -thalassemia (α0 -thal).

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Determination of Silage Quality of Some Sorghum Genotypes under Eskişehir Ecological Conditions
A randomized block design was employed to determine the silage quality of some sorghum genotypes grown after wheat harvest. In the study, 10 sorghum lines (104, 12, 301, 302, 304, 32-1, 8, B305 G310, K311) and 12 registered sorghum varieties (Aldarı ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...
