Human papillomavirus genotype distribution in anal cancer in France: The EDiTH V study [PDF]
AbstractAnal cancer is a rare cancer but its incidence is increasing. Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection seems to be associated with the occurrence of most cases. The genotype‐specific prevalence of HPV in anal cancer was estimated to assess the potential benefit of HPV vaccination in France.

Hepatitis C viral evolution in genotype 1 treatment-naïve and treatment-experienced patients receiving telaprevir-based therapy in clinical trials [PDF]
Background: In patients with genotype 1 chronic hepatitis C infection, telaprevir (TVR) in combination with peginterferon and ribavirin (PR) significantly increased sustained virologic response (SVR) rates compared with PR alone.

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Genotype-phenotype correlation in combined deficiency of factor V and factor VIII
AbstractCombined deficiency of factor V and factor VIII (F5F8D) is caused by mutations in one of 2 genes, either LMAN1 or MCFD2. Here we report the identification of mutations for 11 additional F5F8D families, including 4 novel mutations, 2 in MCFD2 and 2 in LMAN1.
