This study highlights the critical role of IRF8 in the development of AAA. IRF8 activation promotes the differentiation of cDC1s, which in turn recruit and activate CD8+ T cells, contributing to aortic wall degradation. The study identifies the IRF8‐cDC1‐CD8+ T cell axis as a key pathway in AAA progression, offering new potential therapeutic targets to

GEDI: Scalable Algorithms for Genotype Error Detection and Imputation [PDF]
Genome-wide association studies generate very large datasets that require scalable analysis algorithms. In this report we describe the GEDI software package, which implements efficient algorithms for performing several common tasks in the analysis of population genotype data, including genotype error detection and correction, imputation of both ...

This study integrates dual‐reporter genetics, imaging flow cytometry, and single‐cell sequencing to characterize rare bihormonal cells in mouse and human pancreatic islets. Gcg⁺Ins⁺ cells resemble α‐cells rather than transitional states. Cross‐species gene network analysis refines islet cell taxonomy and reveals human‐specific δ‐cell subtypes ...

On The Nature Of The Phenotype In Tree Genetic Programming [PDF]
In this contribution, we discuss the basic concepts of genotypes and phenotypes in tree-based GP (TGP), and then analyze their behavior using five benchmark datasets. We show that TGP exhibits the same behavior that we can observe in other GP representations: At the genotypic level trees show frequently unchecked growth with seemingly ineffective code,

Genotype networks, innovation, and robustness in sulfur metabolism [PDF]
Metabolic networks are complex systems that comprise hundreds of chemical reactions which synthesize biomass molecules from chemicals in an organism's environment. The metabolic network of any one organism is encoded by a metabolic genotype, defined by a set of enzyme-coding genes whose products catalyze the network's reactions. Each metabolic genotype

Gelsolin's Protective Role in MASH through F‐Actin Regulation and P53 Degradation
Gelsolin (GSN) maintains liver metabolic homeostasis by promoting MDM2‐mediated P53 degradation and inhibiting F‐actin/Yes‐associated protein (YAP) overactivation. Loss of GSN impairs P53 degradation, increases lipid deposition, and enhances YAP‐driven fibrosis and inflammation in metabolic‐associated steatohepatitis.

A New Statistical Framework for Genetic Pleiotropic Analysis of High Dimensional Phenotype Data [PDF]
The widely used genetic pleiotropic analysis of multiple phenotypes are often designed for examining the relationship between common variants and a few phenotypes. They are not suited for both high dimensional phenotypes and high dimensional genotype (next-generation sequencing) data. To overcome these limitations, we develop sparse structural equation

Annexin A3 (ANXA3) plays an endogenous protective role in endothelial dysfunction in sepsis by stabilizing the actin cytoskeleton, modulating cell permeability, and inhibiting pATF2/CD62E inflammatory signaling. Abstract Increased endothelial permeability and a dysregulated inflammatory response play key roles in organ damage in sepsis.
