TDOA-based adaptive observer trajectory optimisation algorithm for tracking in passive coherent location system

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
In the passive coherent location system with fixed observers, the target tracking performance is limited by the inappropriate localisation geometry. This study proposes an adaptive observer trajectory optimisation (AOTO) algorithm in terms of minimising ...

Comparison of Objectives in Multi-Objective Optimization of Ultrasonic Positioning Anchor Placement [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
The position of anchors in an ultrasonic positioning system has a significant impact on the performance of that system. This impact on performance can be in the form of positioning error, how large of a space the system can cover, and then number of ...

Simple solution to the optimal deployment of cooperative nodes in two-dimensional TOA-based and AOA-based localization system

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2017
Cellular-based cooperative communication is a promising technique that allows cooperation among mobile devices not only to increase data throughput but also to improve localization services. For a certain number of cooperative nodes, the geometry plays a

The Evolution of the Ionospheric Irregularities and Their Effects on GNSS Over China During the Geomagnetic Storm on 1 December 2023

open access: yesSpace Weather, Volume 24, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract This study investigated a large‐scale ionospheric irregularities event over low‐ to mid‐latitude China during the 1 December 2023 geomagnetic storm using ROTI data, loss‐of‐lock (LoL) in L2 from 250 GNSS receivers, and S4 data from 16 ISMs.

Effect of Observation Geometry on Short-Arc Angles-Only Initial Orbit Determination

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
Space-based optical sensors are attracting increasing research attention as they can measure the angle of space targets over large areas, facilitating low-cost, wide-area space target surveillance. Studying the effect of observation geometry on short-arc

TranQuiL: Long Range Detection and Localization of Interference in Radio Quiet Zones

open access: yesRadio Science, Volume 61, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Radio Quiet Zones (RQZs) have been established to prevent radio sources from causing harmful interference to sensitive radio telescopes, which study extremely faint cosmic radio waves. Even with strict regulations, such interference is growing due to the widespread use of consumer electronics, emitting in many different frequency bands ...

Range‐Free Localisation for Monostatic Passive Radar Employing Multi‐Narrowband Illuminators

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar &Navigation, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
Range‐free localisation is considered for monostatic passive radar with multiple narrowband illuminators under unreliable time‐delay (range) measurements. Doppler/DOA (and optional Doppler‐rate) are fused in an ML framework, where velocity is iteratively updated to reduce the original 6‐D optimisation to a 3‐D position search.

Joint Beam and Power Allocation for Cooperative Jamming in Terrain‐Constrained Environments

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar &Navigation, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This study addresses the critical challenge of aircraft formation cooperative jamming against networked radar systems (NRS) in complex electromagnetic and geographical environments. We believe this work aligns well with your journal's focus on advanced remote sensing technologies, signal processing and the analysis of complex environmental interactions.
