Identification of Geometric Parameters of Robots

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1985
Abstract The positioning accuracy of the end effector depends on the accuracy of the geometric parameters of each link. This paper presents a general method for the estimation of these parameters. The method is based on the Denavit and Hartenberg notations and on the differential relationships of the homogenous transformation matrices The use of the

Sensitivity Discrepancy for Geometric Parameters

CFD for Design and Optimization, 1995
Abstract When discretized sensitivities are used to approximate the sensitivities of a discretized variable, a discrepancy may occur, particularly when the underlying parameter represents a geometric or implicit quantity. For a model problem, the primary source of error is found to be in the boundary conditions, which in turn are ...

Geometrical parameters of the individual myocardial fibers

The Bulletin of Mathematical Biophysics, 1972
In this paper the left ventricle of the heart was considered as a shell of varying thickness. The first and second fundamental forms of the middle surface, of the shell, as well as Euler's theorem were used for deriving expressions giving the length and curvature of the individual myocardial fibers.

Geometrical Track Parameters and Their Errors

1993
Now we come to the point to which all the efforts of drift-chamber design lead up — the determination of the track parameters. The point of origin of a track, its angles of orientation, and its curvature in a magnetic field are the main geometric properties that one aims to measure.

Geometric Continuity and Shape Parameters

2013
Given the two curves Q 1(u) and Q 2(u), consider the joint \(\frac{{{\text{Q}}_1 \left( u \right)}} {{{\text{Q}}_2 \left( u \right)}}\). Recalling equation (4.1), continuity of the unit tangent vector is achieved if $$\frac{{{\text{Q}}_1^{\left( 1 \right)} \left( 1 \right)}} {{\left| {{\text{Q}}_1^{\left( 1 \right)} \left( 1 \right)} \right ...
