Capturing and viewing gigapixel images [PDF]
We present a system to capture and view "Gigapixel images": very high resolution, high dynamic range, and wide angle imagery consisting of several billion pixels each. A specialized camera mount, in combination with an automated pipeline for alignment, exposure compensation, and stitching, provide the means to acquire Gigapixel images with a standard ...

The problem of segmenting global glomerulosclerosis in gigapixel histopathological images: the borderless glomeruli [PDF]
Background Accurately segmenting glomeruli in kidney whole slide images (WSIs) is essential for advancing automation in renal pathology but remains challenging in cases of global glomerulosclerosis, where Bowman’s capsule boundaries are often unclear ...

Generating dermatopathology reports from gigapixel whole slide images with HistoGPT [PDF]
Histopathology is the reference standard for diagnosing the presence and nature of many diseases, including cancer. However, analyzing tissue samples under a microscope and summarizing the findings in a comprehensive pathology report is time-consuming ...

Thor: a platform for cell-level investigation of spatial transcriptomics and histology [PDF]
Spatial transcriptomics links gene expression with tissue morphology, however, current tools often prioritize genomic analysis, lacking integrated image interpretation. To address this, we present Thor, a comprehensive platform for cell-level analysis of

Noble Metals Doping in Lead-Free Double Perovskite Single Crystals: Achieving Near-Infrared to X-ray Broadband Photodetection. [PDF]
This study examines the doping of Cs2AgBiBr6 double perovskite with noble metals (Au3+, Pd2+, and Ir3+). Significant redshifts in the absorption edge enable broadband photodetection from X‐rays to NIR, without abrupt changes in crystal structure. Au doping notably also enhances X‐ray sensitivity.

Video enhanced gigapixel panoramas [PDF]
We present a method for embedding video clips within gigapixel scale imagery. The combination of high-resolution imagery and video enables users to pan and zoom across the gigapixel panorama to explore complex scenes with motion. The sparsity of the video content within the gigapixel context introduces several challenges which we overcome by optimizing

Gigapixel Computational Imaging [PDF]
Today, consumer cameras produce photographs with tens of millions of pixels. The recent trend in image sensor resolution seems to suggest that we will soon have cameras with billions of pixels. However, the resolution of any camera is fundamentally limited by geometric aberrations.
