Gigapixel Computational Imaging [PDF]
Today, consumer cameras produce photographs with tens of millions of pixels. The recent trend in image sensor resolution seems to suggest that we will soon have cameras with billions of pixels. However, the resolution of any camera is fundamentally limited by geometric aberrations.

Video enhanced gigapixel panoramas [PDF]
We present a method for embedding video clips within gigapixel scale imagery. The combination of high-resolution imagery and video enables users to pan and zoom across the gigapixel panorama to explore complex scenes with motion. The sparsity of the video content within the gigapixel context introduces several challenges which we overcome by optimizing

Noble Metals Doping in Lead-Free Double Perovskite Single Crystals: Achieving Near-Infrared to X-ray Broadband Photodetection. [PDF]
This study examines the doping of Cs2AgBiBr6 double perovskite with noble metals (Au3+, Pd2+, and Ir3+). Significant redshifts in the absorption edge enable broadband photodetection from X‐rays to NIR, without abrupt changes in crystal structure. Au doping notably also enhances X‐ray sensitivity.

Distributed Seams for Gigapixel Panoramas [PDF]
Gigapixel panoramas are an increasingly popular digital image application. They are often created as a mosaic of many smaller images. The mosaic acquisition can take many hours causing the individual images to differ in exposure and lighting conditions. A blending operation is often necessary to give the appearance of a seamless image.

Gigapixel Histopathological Image Analysis Using Attention-Based Neural Networks
Although CNNs are widely considered as the state-of-the-art models in various applications of image analysis, one of the main challenges still open is the training of a CNN on high resolution images.

Virtual alignment of pathology image series for multi-gigapixel whole slide images
Interest in spatial omics is on the rise, but generation of highly multiplexed images remains challenging, due to cost, expertise, methodical constraints, and access to technology. An alternative approach is to register collections of whole slide images (
