Gimbal

Proceedings of the 2021 ACM SIGCOMM 2021 Conference, 2021
Emerging SmartNIC-based disaggregated NVMe storage has become a promising storage infrastructure due to its competitive IO performance and low cost. These SmartNIC JBOFs are shared among multiple co-resident applications, and there is a need for the platform to ensure fairness, QoS, and high utilization.

Preferred gimbal angles for single gimbal control moment gyros

Journal of Guidance, Control, and Dynamics, 1989
This paper deals with torque command generation using single gimbal control moment gyros. The angular momentum and torque envelopes are assumed to be known a priori. A method based on back integration of the gyro torque equation from desired final conditions is used to determine a family of initial gimbal angles that avoid singularities. Each member of

Gimbal Goniometer

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1962
A goniometer for single-crystal diffraction work, based on the use of a gimbal system, is described. The gimbal is driven by the rolling of a spherical section in frictional contact with a movable plane. The special features of the device are discussed.

Gimbals in the insect leg

Arthropod Structure & Development, 2009
We studied the common kinematic features of the coxa and trochanter in cursorial and raptorial legs, which are the short size of the podomers, predominantly monoaxial joints, and the approximate orthogonality of adjacent joint axes. The chain coxa-trochanter with its short elements and serial orthogonality of joint axes resembles the gimbals which ...

Gimbal Angle Reorientation for Nonredundant Single Gimbal Control Moment Gyros

AIAA Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Conference, 2013
This paper deals with a problem of gimbal angle reorientation for a nonredundant control moment gyro (CMG) cluster in a pyramid configuration. There are a finite number of gimbal angle sets for a nonredundant CMG-cluster whose angular momentums are identical.
