Antioxidant Action of Ginkgo biloba Extract.
イチョウ葉エキス (GBE) の抗酸化活性について種々の反応系において調べた。GBEはガルビノキシルラジカルと速やかに反応し, また, ペルオキシルラジカルのスカベンジャーとして働くことが明らかとなった。リノール酸メチル均一溶液や, 大豆ホスファチジルコリンのリポソーム膜, そして低比重リポタンパク (LDL) の脂質酸化を濃度依存的に抑制した。さらに, GBEはα-トコフェロキシルラジカルを還元し, 脂質やLDLの酸化において, α-トコフェロールの減少を抑制することがわかった。これらの結果はGBEがin vivoにおいてもin vitroと同様に有効な抗酸化物として働くことを示唆している。
