Paper 3: Glandless Extraction Pumps

Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Conference Proceedings, 1969
The use of glandless pumps for extraction pump duty raises particular problems accruing from the environmental conditions. Axial thrust variation can be accommodated and motor cooling circuit security may be achieved, providing care is taken to control pressure levels within the machine.

Paper 5: Glandless Boiler Circulating Pumps

Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Conference Proceedings, 1969
This paper gives an outline of the design and development of the 750-b.h.p. prototype glandless boiler circulating pump to be commissioned at Kingsnorth Power Station. Suction conditions of 2650 lb/in2 (gauge) and 650°F demanded special techniques for the maintenance of safe motor winding temperature levels under all types of operation. Constructional

Storage Proteins of Glandless Cottonseed Flour

Journal of Food Science, 1981
ABSTRACT The salt‐soluble storage protein isolate of defatted glandless cottonseed flour was separated by gel filtration column chromatography into six fractions (I to VI). Column and thin‐layer gel filtration showed that these fractions had molecular weights of >600,000, 280,000, 127,000, 63,500, 10,700, and <2,000 ...

Color stability of glandless cottonseed oil

Journal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, 1988
AbstractThe color stability of oil extracted from glandless cottonseed contaminated with various levels of glanded cottonseed was studied. The rate of darkening in bleached color of cottonseed oil during storage was proportional to the original glanded cottonseed or gossypol content in the oil and to time and temperature of storage.

Total gossypol content of glandless cottonseed

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 1988
Comparaison des teneurs en gossypol de graines de coton de varietes avec ou sans glandes. Recherche de la contribution d'une seule glande a la teneur totale en gossypol, d'apres une methode de dosage preconisee par l ...

FUNCTIONAL PROPERTIES OF ACYLATED GLANDLESS COTTONSEED FLOUR

Journal of Food Science, 1976
ABSTRACT Glandless cottonseed flour was acylated with succinic and acetic anhydride. Acylation caused an increase in the specific viscosity of the flour and an increase in its functionality. Water‐holding, oil‐holding, emulsifying, and foam capacities were increased from 1.2 to tenfold over nonacylated flour.

Yuma Glandless, an Allelomorph of Glandless‐one in Cotton, Gossypium birsutum L.1

Crop Science, 1970
Yuma glandless, gl1y, forms a multiple allelomorphic series with Gl1 and gl1. Yuma glandless is recessive to Gl1 but dominant to gl1. Normal cotton plants have glands of two distinct sizes. Yuma glandless gene eliminates the smaller glands.

Seed‐oil content of glanded and glandless cottons

Journal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, 1987
AbstractTwelve cotton strains, six glanded and six glandless, with different seed‐oil contents, were mated in a full diallel system. All genotypes were evaluated for seed‐oil percentage (SO), seed index (SI, mg/seed) and seed‐oil index (SOI, mg/seed) to obtain information on the inheritance of these traits and to assess the significance of maternal and
