Temperature dependent dynamics transition of intermittent plastic flow in a metallic glass. II. Dynamics analysis [PDF]
By reducing the testing temperatures down to the temperature well below the glassy transition temperature, the serrated flow behaviour during plastic deformation of a Zr-based metallic glass was experimentally investigated and the results were presented ...

Thermal relaxation of optical nonlinearity in poled glasses
The thermal relaxation of second order optical nonlinearity in subsurface layer of a poled soda-lime silicate glass was studied. It is shown that the glass annealing below glass transition temperature leads to full relaxation of the nonlinearity.

Viscoelastic behavior of carboxyl-terminated (butadiene-co-acrylonitrile)-based composite propellant binder containing polyglycidyl-type bonding agent [PDF]
The influence of tris(2,3-epoxypropyl) isocyanurate as bonding agent on the physico-chemical, viscoelastic and uniaxial tensile mechanical properties of carboxyl-terminated (butadiene-co-acrylonitrile) cured with the polyglycidyl ether of ...

PbSe quantum dots grown in a high-index low-melting-temperature glass for infrared laser applications [PDF]
PbSe quantum dots (QDs) were grown in high-refractive-index low-melting-temperature lead-phosphate glass. QDs with various sizes ranging from 2 nm to 5.3 nm were grown by controlling the growth parameters, heat-treatment temperature and time.

Oxidation induced changes in viscoelastic properties of a thermostable epoxy matrix [PDF]
The thermal ageing of a neat epoxy matrix has been studied at 200°C in air by three complementary analytical techniques: optical microscopy, mechanical spectrometry and nano-indentation. Thermal oxidation is restricted in a superficial layer of about 195

Polymer Relaxation Time Enhancement at Temperatures above Glass Transition Temperatures Predicted by Idealized Mode-Coupling Theory [PDF]
The mode-coupling theory of glass transition predicts the relaxation time divergence of glass-forming materials at the crossover temperature, which is approximately 1.2 times the calorimetric glass transition temperature. However, this divergence has not

Temperature dependent dynamics transition of intermittent plastic flow in a metallic glass. I. Experimental investigations [PDF]
Cooling shrinkage can increase the atomic packing density of metallic glasses, which can influence their elastic and plastic behaviour. In the present study, the compressive deformation behaviour of a Zr-based metallic glass at temperatures well below ...

Characterising the glass transition temperature-structure relationship through a recurrent neural network [PDF]
Quantitative structure-property relationship (QSPR) is a powerful analytical method to find correlations between the structure of a molecule and its physicochemical properties. The glass transition temperature (Tg) is one of the most reported properties,

Glass Transition Temperatures in Polymer Mixtures [PDF]
A fluid-lattice theory of fluid mixtures is combined with the Gibbs-DiMarzio approach of zero configurational entropy at glass transition in order to correlate and predict the composition dependence of glass transition temperature, Tg, in one-phase polymer mixtures. Such a combination allows an independent quantitative estimation of the significance to
