Assessing environmental and management factors that drive soybean yield gaps in Brazil

open access: yesJournal of Environmental Quality, Volume 54, Issue 6, Page 1383-1396, November/December 2025.
Abstract Brazil is the world's largest producer and exporter of soybeans (Glycine max L. Merr.). Assessing yield gaps (Yg) is essential for improving resource use efficiency and guiding farmers’ management strategies. The objective of this study was to estimate soybean yield potential (Yp), water‐limited yields (Yw), and Yg based on water and ...

Approcci analitici allo studio dei tessuti [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Textiles are amongst the most common objects of material culture used throughout the human past, although due to their organic nature they rarely survive in archaeological contexts.

Effect of cropping system on development dynamics of cellulolytic microorganisms in soil / Wpływ systemu uprawy na dynamikę rozwoju drobnoustrojów celulolitycznych w glebie

open access: yesEnvironmental Protection and Natural Resources, 2013
W pracy oceniono wpływ systemu uprawy ekologicznego i konwencjonalnego na populację drobnoustrojów celulolitycznych pod uprawą ziemniaka. W trzyletnim doświadczeniu badano dynamikę rozwoju mikroorganizmów zdolnych do rozkładu celulozy w glebie ...

Specificity of bacteriolytic enzyme II from a soil amoeba, Hartmannella glebae [PDF]

open access: yesApplied and Environmental Microbiology, 1979
Two bacteriolytic enzymes were produced when Hartmanella glebae was grown in the presence of both Enterobacter aerogenes and Alcaligenes faecalis. The identification of enzyme I as N-acetylmuramidase was reported earlier. Enzyme II was purified by gel filtration on a Bio-Gel A column. A recovery of 68.76% with 72.3-fold purification was obtained.

Genetic variation among progeny shapes symbiosis in a basidiomycete with poplar

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 248, Issue 1, Page 157-177, October 2025.
Summary Forest trees rely on ectomycorrhizal (ECM) fungi for acquiring scarce resources such as water and nutrients. However, the molecular mechanisms governing ECM traits remain inadequately understood, particularly the role of intraspecific fungal variation in root‐tip colonisation and trophic interactions.

Lodgments of expansion of alien animal species: the biota of a key site of anthropochory in Transcarpathia (Ukraine)

open access: yesGeo&Bio, 2021
The new cases that indicate the repeated entry of alien species, including invertebrates (molluscs, insects and other arthropods), to the Transcarpathian region (i.e. Zakarpattia Oblast) of Ukraine are considered. One of the main reasons of appearance of

Effects of Air Temperature on Transient Expression of Influenza Hemagglutinin in Nicotiana benthamiana: Analysis of Transgene Transcription and Plant Stress Responses

open access: yesBiotechnology and Bioengineering, Volume 122, Issue 5, Page 1142-1152, May 2025.
Effects on the number of days required to reach the maximum hemagglutinin (HA) content did not solely depend on the transgene transcript levels, regardless of the accumulation compartment. Effects on the reduction rate after the maximum HA content correlated with endoplasmic reticulum stress response, depending on the accumulation compartment ...

CuBe: a geminivirus‐based copper‐regulated expression system suitable for post‐harvest activation

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, Volume 23, Issue 1, Page 141-155, January 2025.
Summary The growing demand for sustainable platforms for biomolecule manufacturing has fuelled the development of plant‐based production systems. Agroinfiltration, the current industry standard, offers several advantages but faces limitations for large‐scale production due to high operational costs and batch‐to‐batch variability.
