A Bibliometric Analysis of Publications in Uremic Toxins From 1991 to 2024
ABSTRACT Background Uremic toxins are a growing area of research in nephrology, with significant implications in the progression and treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the management of end‐stage kidney disease (ESKD). This bibliometric analysis aims to evaluate the global research trends, key contributors, and the impact of publications in ...

Global Attraction to Solitary Waves in Models Based on the Klein-Gordon Equation
We review recent results on global attractors of U(1)-invariant dispersive Hamiltonian systems. We study several models based on the Klein-Gordon equation and sketch the proof that in these models, under certain generic assumptions, the weak global ...

Global Attractors for Semilinear Parabolic Problems Involving X-Elliptic Operators
We consider semilinear parabolic equations involving an operator that is X-elliptic with respect to a family of vector fields X with suitable properties.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

A permutation characterization of Sturm global attractors of Hamiltonian type
We consider Neumann boundary value problems of the form ut=uxx+f on the interval 0⩽x⩽π for dissipative nonlinearities f=f(u). A permutation characterization for the global attractors of the semiflows generated by these equations is well known, even in ...

Under consideration is the damped semilinear wave equation $$ u_{tt}+u_t-\Delta u+u+f(u)=0 $$ in a bounded domain $\Omega$ in $\mathbb{R}^3$ subject to an acoustic boundary condition with a singular perturbation, which we term "massless acoustic ...

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Global Attractor for Sectorial Evolutionary Equation
Let \(A\) be a sectorial operator with compact resolvent in an appropriate Banach space and consider the evolution equation \(\dot u + Au = F(u)\), \(t > 0\), \(u(0) = u_0\). The authors show that this problem generates a dissipative semigroup whenever an appropriate introductory estimate for solutions is known.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.
