Trajectory and Global Attractors for the Kelvin–Voigt Model Taking into Account Memory along Fluid Trajectories

open access: yesMathematics
This article is devoted to the study of the existence of trajectory and global attractors in the Kelvin–Voigt fluid model, taking into account memory along the trajectories of fluid motion.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Entropy increase in switching systems

open access: yes, 2013
The relation between the complexity of a time-switched dynamics and the complexity of its control sequence depends critically on the concept of a non-autonomous pullback attractor.

Global attractors for semigroups of closed operators [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
In this note, we establish a general result on the existence of global attractors for semigroups $S(t)$ of operators acting on a Banach space $\X$, where the strong continuity $S(t)\in C(\X,\X)$ is replaced by the much weaker requirement that $S(t)$ be a

Uniform attractors for vanishing viscosity approximations of non-autonomous complex flows

open access: yesJournal of Optimization, Differential Equations and Their Applications, 2018
In this paper we prove the existence of uniform global attractors in the strong topology of the phase space for semiflows generated by vanishing viscosity approximations of some class of non-autonomous complex fluids.

Global attractors for p-Laplacian equation

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2007
The existence of a global attractor for the following \(p\)-Laplacian equation: \[ u_t-\text{div}\bigl(|\nabla u|^{p-2}\nabla u\bigr)+f(u)=g \quad\text{in } \Omega\times\mathbb{R}^+,\tag{1} \] with the Dirichlet boundary condition \[ u |_{\partial\Omega}=0\tag{2} \] and initial condition \[ u(x,0)=u_0(x)\tag{3} \] is proved in \(W_0^{1,p}(\Omega)\) and

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

An unexpected alternative viologen electron mediator site in tungsten‐containing formate dehydrogenase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Synchronization of dissipative dynamical systems driven by non-Gaussian Lévy noises

open access: yes, 2010
Dynamical systems driven by Gaussian noises have been considered extensively in modeling, simulation, and theory. However, complex systems in engineering and science are often subject to non-Gaussian fluctuations or uncertainties.

Global attractors of pinched skew products [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
A class of skew products over irrational rotations of the circle is defined which contains some systems which have strange non-chaotic attractors. The global attractor of these systems is characterized: it lies between an upper semi-continuous curve and ...
