Evidence of Long‐Range Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya Interaction at Ferrimagnetic Insulator/Nonmagnetic Metal Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that in sputter‐deposited Tb3Fe5O12 (TbIG)/nonmagnetic metal (NM) heterostructures, the interfacial Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya Interaction (DMI) originates at the TbIG/NM interface. Furthermore, measurements suggest a significant interfacial DMI arising from a second non‐local interface, created by inserting a Cu spacer layer between

High‐Performance Low‐Emissivity Paints Enabled by N‐Doped Poly(benzodifurandione) (n‐PBDF) for Energy‐Efficient Buildings

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a scalable and colored low‐emissivity (low‐e) paint achieved by spraying an ultrathin n‐doped poly(benzodifurandione) (n‐PBDF) coating onto various colored substrates. The low‐e paint enhances thermal regulation by reducing mid‐infrared thermal emissivity to 0.19, thereby stabilizing indoor temperatures across diverse climates ...

Lactiplantibacillusplantarum APsulloc331261 (GTB1™) promotes butyrate production to suppress mucin hypersecretion in a murine allergic airway inflammation model

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology
IntroductionAllergic airway diseases are one of the serious health problems in worldwide and allergic airway inflammation is a prerequisite led to the exacerbated situation such as mucus hypersecretion, epithelial barrier damage and microbiota dysbiosis.

Print‐and‐Plate Architected Electrodes for Electrochemical Transformations Under Flow

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Typical flow cell electrodes are composed of stochastic porous carbon, limiting understanding of electrode structure‐performance relationships. This work describes an approach, termed “print‐and‐plate,” to prepare porous electrodes by direct ink writing followed by conformal metal coating.

Analysis of maintaining human maximal voluntary contraction control strategies through the power grip task in isometric contraction

open access: yesScientific Reports
Power grip force is used as a representative indicator of the ability of the human neuromuscular system. However, people maintain the power grip force via different control strategies depending on the visual feedback that shows the magnitude of the force,

Conventionality matters in Chinese metaphor but not simile comprehension: evidence from event-related potentials

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology
Metaphor and simile, two prevalent forms of figurative language widely employed in daily communication, serve as significant research subjects in linguistics. The Career of Metaphor Theory in cognitive linguistics posits that as conventionality increases,

Biologically‐Inspired Melt Electrowriting for the Generation of Highly Biomimetic Functional Myocardium

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, melt electrowriting is used to fabricate a 3D printed scaffold design that generates engineered cardiac tissues with in‐plane contraction, mimicking natural myocardium. It is shown that these tissues display advanced maturation and functionality.
