European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline and EXPeRT Recommendations for the Diagnosis and Management of Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms in Children and Adolescents

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

Factors influencing basic vaccination coverage in Myanmar: secondary analysis of 2015 Myanmar demographic and health survey data

open access: yesBMC Public Health, 2019
Background Immunization is one of the most effective measures for preventing disease when vaccination coverage is sufficient. Although vaccination coverage is known to be influenced by social and cultural barriers, the determinants of childhood ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

A production-cost-simulation-based method for optimal planning of the grid interconnection between countries with rich hydro energy

open access: yesGlobal Energy Interconnection, 2020
Cross-border grid interconnection is a critical means to achieve wide-area share of hydro and other clean energy. Economic benefit assessment of cross-border grid interconnection projects should be carefully performed during early stage. In this paper, a

Cross-regional electricity and hydrogen deployment research based on coordinated optimization: Towards carbon neutrality in China

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2022
In order to achieve carbon neutrality in a few decades, the clean energy proportion in power mix of China will significantly rise to over 90%. A consensus has been reached recently that it will be of great significance to promote hydrogen energy, that is

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Identifying pathways to achieve diverse objectives of the National Essential Diagnostics List: developing an assessment framework based on field studies in Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, and the Philippines

open access: yesTropical Medicine and Health
Background Access to essential in vitro diagnostics is limited in many low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). To address this, the World Health Organization introduced the Model List of Essential In Vitro Diagnostics (EDL) in 2018, encouraging member ...
